1. Introduction

This compact and powerful device is designed for high-quality audio recording, offering features such as one-key operation, voice activation, and intelligent noise reduction. With its 32GB internal memory and long battery life, it is suitable for lectures, interviews, meetings, and personal notes.

3. Product Overview

The TECHNOVIEW V15-New-32GB recorder features a minimalist design for ease of use. Key components include the power/record switch, USB port, and earphone jack. Its compact size makes it highly portable.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the recorder. Connect the device to a 5V 2A power adapter or a computer's USB port using the provided USB cable. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours. The indicator light will turn blue when fully charged.

4.2 Setting the Time Stamp (Windows Only)

Recording files are named according to date and time for easy organization. To set the time stamp:

1. Connect the recorder to a Windows computer.
2. Locate the "Settime.exe" file on the recorder's USB disk.
3. Run "Settime.exe" to synchronize the recorder's time with your computer's system time.

Note: This function is only supported on Windows computers. Mac users cannot directly modify the RECSET.TXT file. Please copy the file to your Mac desktop for modification, then copy the finished file back to the USB disk, replacing the original.

4.3 Connecting to Other Devices (OTG Function)

The recorder supports OTG (On-The-Go) functionality for direct file management on compatible smartphones.

• Android Phones: Use the included Type-C/Micro-USB adapter to connect the recorder to your Android phone. You can then view and delete recording files directly.
• MAC / Windows Computers: Connect the recorder via the USB cable to view, delete, and playback recording files.
• iPhone: Direct connection and file management are not supported.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and One-Key Recording

The device features a simple one-key operation for recording.

• To Start Recording: Slide the power switch to the "ON" position. The recorder will begin recording automatically.
• To Stop/Save Recording: Slide the power switch to the "OFF" position. The current recording will be saved automatically before the device powers down.

5.2 Voice Activated Recording (VAR)

The recorder can automatically start and stop recording based on sound detection.

• When this function is enabled, the recorder will stop recording if the ambient sound is less than 30 decibels.
• Recording will resume when the sound level exceeds 30 decibels.
• Important: If continuous recording is required, do not enable the Voice Activated Recording function, as it may miss quiet segments.

5.3 Playback

To listen to your recordings:

• Connect the provided earphones to the recorder.
• Use the controls on the wired remote (if available) to navigate and play files.
• Fast Forward: Long press the previous button on the wired remote control.
• Fast Rewind: Long press the next button on the wired remote control.

5.4 Automatic Save and Data Protection

The recorder is designed to protect your data:

• If the battery power becomes low during recording, the device will automatically save the current recording file.
• After saving, the device will power off to prevent data loss.
• Remember to charge the device promptly after extended use.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Care

• Charge the device regularly, especially if it will not be used for an extended period.
• Avoid completely draining the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
• Use only the provided USB cable and a compatible 5V 2A charger.

6.2 Storage and Cleaning

• Store the recorder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Keep the device away from dust and moisture.
• Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting

• Device not turning on or recording:
  Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
• Cannot transfer files to Mac:
  Mac users cannot directly modify the `RECSET.TXT` file on the USB disk. Copy the file to your Mac desktop, make modifications, then copy the finished file back to the USB disk, replacing the original.
• Poor recording quality:
  Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Record in a quiet environment. While the device has PCM noise reduction, excessive background noise can still affect quality.
• Device not recognized by computer/phone:
  Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the device is properly connected. For Android, ensure your phone supports OTG and the adapter is correctly used.
• Recording capacity issues:
  Check the available memory. Delete unnecessary files to free up space. The 32GB capacity can store approximately 450 hours of recording.
