4. Powering the Device

The Jazmm CR-318 can be powered by either an AC adapter or AA batteries.

4.1. Using the AC Adapter

  1. Ensure the device is turned off.
  2. Connect the small end of the provided AC power cord to the DC 5V input jack on the side of the cassette player.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet.

4.2. Using AA Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

5. Cassette Operation

5.1. Loading a Cassette Tape

  1. Press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette compartment door.
  2. Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards and the tape side facing the device.
  3. Gently close the cassette compartment door until it clicks shut.

5.2. Playback

  1. Load a cassette tape as described above.
  2. Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
  3. Adjust the VOL (Volume) knob to your desired listening level.
  4. To fast forward, press the FWD button. To rewind, press the REW button. Press PLAY to resume normal playback.
  5. To stop playback, press the STOP/EJECT button.

5.3. Recording

The Jazmm CR-318 allows you to record audio using its built-in microphone.

  1. Load a blank or recordable cassette tape into the compartment.
  2. Ensure the tape has write-protection tabs intact if you intend to record over existing content.
  3. Press the REC button. The PLAY button will also engage simultaneously.
  4. Speak clearly into the built-in microphone (MIC) located on the side of the device.
  5. To stop recording, press the STOP/EJECT button.
  6. To listen to your recording, rewind the tape to the desired starting point and press PLAY.

6. AM/FM Radio Operation

The device features an integrated AM/FM radio tuner.

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, the internal antenna is generally sufficient, but repositioning the device may improve signal.
  2. Rotate the AM/FM Tuner dial to select your desired radio station.
  3. Adjust the VOL (Volume) knob to your preferred listening level.

7. Using Headphones

For private listening, connect the included headphones or any standard 3.5mm headphones.

  1. Locate the 3.5mm earphone jack on the side of the device.
  2. Plug your headphones into this jack.
  3. The built-in speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
  4. Adjust the volume using the VOL knob.
