4. Powering the Device

4.1. Using the AC Adapter
- Ensure the device is turned off.
- Connect the small end of the provided AC power cord to the DC 5V input jack on the side of the cassette player.
- Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet.
4.2. Using AA Batteries
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Slide open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.1. Loading a Cassette Tape
- Press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette compartment door.

5.2. Playback
- Load a cassette tape as described above.
- Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
- Adjust the VOL (Volume) knob to your desired listening level.
- To fast forward, press the FWD button. To rewind, press the REW button. Press PLAY to resume normal playback.
- To stop playback, press the STOP/EJECT button.
5.3. Recording
The Jazmm CR-318 allows you to record audio using its built-in microphone.

- Load a blank or recordable cassette tape into the compartment.
- Ensure the tape has write-protection tabs intact if you intend to record over existing content.
- Press the REC button. The PLAY button will also engage simultaneously.
- Speak clearly into the built-in microphone (MIC) located on the side of the device.
- To stop recording, press the STOP/EJECT button.
- To listen to your recording, rewind the tape to the desired starting point and press PLAY.
6. AM/FM Radio Operation

- Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, the internal antenna is generally sufficient, but repositioning the device may improve signal.
- Rotate the AM/FM Tuner dial to select your desired radio station.
- Adjust the VOL (Volume) knob to your preferred listening level.
7. Using Headphones
For private listening, connect the included headphones or any standard 3.5mm headphones.

- Locate the 3.5mm earphone jack on the side of the device.
- Plug your headphones into this jack.
