Operating Instructions
Hammer Action Keyboard
The 88-key hammer action keyboard is designed to replicate the feel of an acoustic grand piano. The touch sensitivity gradually changes across the keyboard, feeling heavier in the lower registers and lighter in the higher registers, providing a natural playing experience.

Sound Source and Polyphony
This digital piano utilizes a high-quality DREAM sound source from France, delivering a rich and satisfying tone. With a maximum polyphony of 128 notes, you can play complex pieces with extensive pedal use without notes cutting off unnaturally. The instrument features high-output 25W speakers and touch response functionality.

Twin Mode
Twin Mode allows you to split the 88-key keyboard into two identical ranges, enabling two players to play the same notes simultaneously, ideal for student-teacher interaction or duets.

Silent Mode (Headphone Use)
For private practice, connect headphones to the 6.35mm headphone jack. This mutes the internal speakers, allowing you to play without disturbing others.

Pedals
The dedicated stand includes three pedals: Damper, Soft, and Sostenuto. These pedals function similarly to those on an acoustic piano, allowing for expressive control over your music.
- Damper Pedal: Sustains notes.
- Soft Pedal: Softens the sound.
- Sostenuto Pedal: Sustains only the notes held down at the moment the pedal is pressed.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the piano's surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and then wipe dry. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes, as these can damage the finish.
Key Maintenance
Occasionally, lubricant cream may be present under the keys and may transfer to the key surface. If this occurs, simply wipe it off with a soft cloth. This is normal and does not indicate a defect.
Storage
When not in use, cover the piano with the provided keyboard and main unit covers to protect it from dust and spills. Store the piano in a stable environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound:
Check if the power adapter is securely connected and the piano is turned on. Ensure the volume is not set to minimum. If headphones are connected, disconnect them to hear sound from the speakers. - Distorted Sound:
Check the volume levels on both the piano and any connected external devices. Ensure all cables are securely connected. - Keys Not Responding:
Ensure the piano is powered on. If only certain keys are affected, contact customer support. - Pedals Not Working:
Check if the pedal unit is correctly connected to the piano. - MIDI Connection Issues:
Ensure the USB cable is properly connected to both the piano and your computer. Check your computer's device manager or music software settings to confirm the piano is recognized.
If you encounter issues not listed here or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, please contact Carina customer support.
