5. Setup and Initial Configuration
5.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, ensure the T-Echo is fully charged. Connect the provided USB cable to the device's USB port and to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). The device will indicate charging status.
5.2 Firmware Installation (Meshtastic)
The LILYGO T-Echo is designed to work with Meshtastic firmware. Follow these steps to install or update the firmware:

- Locate and download the latest firmware for the LILYGO T-Echo (NRF52840) in UF2 format.
- Unzip the downloaded firmware file.
- Connect the LILYGO T-Echo to your computer using the USB cable.
- Double-click the device's disk drive (usually named "TECHBOOT" or similar) that appears on your computer. This will eject the disk.
- Copy the downloaded UF2 firmware file (e.g., "firmware-t-echo-xxxx.uf2") directly into the root directory of the T-Echo's disk drive.
- The device will automatically refresh and install the new firmware. This process may take a few moments.

5.3 Installing the Meshtastic App

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Device Controls
The T-Echo features two buttons for basic control:
- Button 1:
- Press once: Resets the device.
- Press twice: Enters Development (DFU) Mode for firmware flashing.
- Button 2: (When the development board is turned on)
- Press once: Changes the page displayed on the device's e-paper screen.
- Press twice: Sends temporary node information.
- Press three times: Turns on/off the GPS.
- Press four times: Turns on/off the backlight.
- Long press: Turns off the device.

6.2 Connecting to the Meshtastic App
After installing the Meshtastic App on your phone:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Open the Meshtastic App. It will automatically search for nearby Meshtastic devices.
- Select your LILYGO T-Echo from the list of discovered devices to establish a connection.
- Once connected, you can configure settings such as frequency band and user name within the app.
- Navigate to the "Message" interface to send and receive messages.

6.3 Sending Messages
To send messages through the Meshtastic network using the app:
- In the Meshtastic App, select the desired channel (e.g., "All" for broadcasting to all users on the network).
- Type your message in the text input field.
- Press the send button. Your message will be transmitted via the LoRa network.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50%.

8. Troubleshooting
