2. Important Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before using this product. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Do not attempt to open the battery casing.
- Protect the battery from continuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and excessive moisture.
- Do not damage the battery with sharp objects.
- Do not discard this product improperly. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
- Overcharging the device will reduce the life of the battery. Unplug it from the charger in a timely manner to avoid overcharging.
- If the battery does not last 10 minutes, it may be caused by overheating. Please wait for 5 minutes for the battery to cool down before attempting to use it again.
- After receiving the product, fully charge the battery before its first use.
- To protect the battery, do not charge it for extended periods. The optimal charging time is not more than 6 hours. Avoid charging the battery overnight.
- Always remove the battery pack from your tool when assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not being used for an extended time.
- Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time. It is recommended to use the battery at least once every two to three weeks to maintain its health.

Important Note: Our 21V battery is very similar in appearance to another 20V-21V "III" battery. However, the compatible tools and brands for these two battery types are different. Please ensure you do not confuse them to avoid making an incorrect purchase. If you have any doubts, inquire to learn more before purchasing.

5. Setup and Charging
5.1 Initial Charging
Before the first use, it is crucial to fully charge the battery. This helps to optimize battery life and performance.
5.2 Charging Process
The included charger adapter supports a 100-240V universal standard AC input voltage and provides 1A power output. To charge the battery:
- Connect the charger adapter to a standard wall outlet.
- Connect the charger's output plug to the charging port on the battery.
- Observe the LED indicator on the charger to monitor the charging status.
5.3 LED Indicators for Charging Status
The charger features an LED indicator to easily show the charging situation:
- Red light: Indicates charging is in progress.
- Green light: Indicates charging is finished.

Important Charging Notes: To protect the battery and prolong its life, do not charge for more than 6 hours. Avoid charging the battery overnight as this can severely damage its lifespan.
6. Operation
6.1 Attaching the Battery to a Tool
Align the battery with the battery slot on your compatible power tool. Slide the battery firmly into place until it clicks, indicating it is securely locked. Ensure the battery is fully seated before operating the tool.
6.2 Detaching the Battery from a Tool
To remove the battery, press the red release button located on the top of the battery pack and slide the battery out of the tool's slot.

6.3 Checking Battery Level During Use
Press the power button on the battery to activate the 4-LED fuel gauge. This allows you to check the remaining power and plan your work accordingly (25%, 50%, 75%, 100% charge indicated by the number of lit LEDs).
7. Maintenance and Storage
Proper maintenance and storage are essential for prolonging the life of your SHINTYOOL 21V Lithium Battery:
- Keep the battery clean and dry. Avoid exposure to dust, dirt, and moisture.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If the battery will not be used for an extended period, store it with a partial charge (around 50%). Avoid storing it fully charged or completely depleted.
- Periodically check the battery for any signs of damage, such as cracks or swelling. Do not use a damaged battery.
- As mentioned in the safety section, use the battery at least once every two to three weeks to prevent it from becoming dormant for too long.
8. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
- Battery not charging: Ensure the charger is properly plugged into a working outlet and securely connected to the battery. Check the charger's LED indicator. If the light is not red, there might be an issue with the connection or the charger itself.
- Battery not holding a charge / Short run time:
- Ensure the battery was fully charged before use.
- If the battery does not last 10 minutes, it may be caused by overheating. Allow the battery to cool down for at least 5 minutes before attempting to use or charge it again.
- Avoid overcharging the battery, as this can reduce its lifespan.
- Ensure the battery has not been left dormant for long periods. Regular use (every 2-3 weeks) is recommended.
- Battery not fitting tool: Double-check the compatibility information. As noted in Section 4, there are similar-looking batteries that are not interchangeable. Ensure you have the correct SHINTYOOL 21V battery for your specific tool.
- LED fuel gauge not lighting up: Ensure you are pressing the battery button to activate the display. The LEDs only light up when the button is pressed to conserve power.
