Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your Rulart Door Knob Lock, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the door knobs and plates with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant or a silicone-based spray to the keyway and latch mechanism to maintain smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust and grime.
- Inspection: Regularly check all screws and components for tightness. Tighten any loose screws to prevent wobbling or misalignment.
The lock is constructed from 304 stainless steel, which is wear-resistant and anti-rust, minimizing the need for extensive maintenance.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Rulart Door Knob Lock, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Knob is loose: Check and tighten the mounting screws located on the interior side of the knob.
- Key is difficult to turn or lock is stiff: Apply a small amount of graphite lubricant into the keyway. Ensure the key is fully inserted.
- Latch bolt does not extend/retract smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the door frame's strike plate. Ensure the strike plate is properly aligned. Lubricate the latch mechanism.
- Door does not latch: Verify that the strike plate on the door frame is correctly aligned with the latch bolt. Adjust if necessary.
