4.1 Unpacking and Assembly

The Xilin CBD15 Pallet Jack requires partial assembly, primarily the installation of the control handle.

1. Carefully remove all packaging materials.
2. Attach the control handle to the main unit according to the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are secure.

4.2 Battery Connection and Initial Charging

The unit comes with one battery installed and an additional battery. Before first use, the battery must be properly connected and charged.

1. Access Battery Compartment: Open the battery compartment. This is typically located on the side of the main unit.
2. Initial Charge: Locate the charging cable and connect it directly to the battery inside the compartment. The red connector visible externally is for connecting the battery to the pallet jack's power system, not for charging.
3. Charge Duration: Allow approximately 3 hours for a full charge. The charger indicator will show when charging is complete.
4. Connect Battery to Pallet Jack: Once charged, connect the red battery connector (power output) to the corresponding port on the pallet jack. Ensure a firm connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Handle Functions

The integrated control handle provides all necessary functions for operating the pallet jack.

• Travel Switch (Accelerator): Located on the handle grips, this controls forward and reverse movement.
• Speaker Button (Horn): Activates the horn for warning others.
• Up Button: Raises the forks.
• Drop Button: Lowers the forks.
• Emergency Stop Reverse Button: A safety feature that, when pressed, immediately stops the pallet jack and reverses its direction slightly to prevent crushing the operator. This is the round red button on the handle. Note: To activate the pallet jack after an emergency stop, you may need to lift up on the round red button.
• Turtle Button (Slow Speed Mode): Engages a slower operating speed for precise maneuvering in tight spaces.
• Coulomb Meter: Displays the current battery charge level.

5.2 Starting and Moving

1. Ensure the emergency stop button is disengaged (pulled out).
2. Turn on the main power switch (if applicable, usually integrated with the key switch or emergency stop).
3. To move, gently press the travel switch (accelerator) in the desired direction.
4. To stop, release the travel switch. The pallet jack will brake automatically.

5.3 Lifting and Lowering Loads

1. Position the forks squarely under the pallet.
2. Press and hold the Up Button to raise the forks until the load is clear of the ground. The maximum lift height is 7.3 inches.
3. To lower the forks, press and hold the Drop Button. The forks will lower to a minimum height of 3.0 inches.
4. Always ensure the load is stable and centered on the forks before lifting or moving.

6. Battery Management and Charging

The Xilin CBD15 uses a 24V/20Ah lithium battery. The unit includes an extra battery to facilitate continuous operation.

• Charging Time: Approximately 3 hours for a full charge.
• Working Time: Approximately 3 hours per battery under normal operating conditions.
• Continuous Operation: With two batteries, one can be in use while the other charges, allowing for up to 24 hours of continuous operation.
