3. Setup

3.1. SD Card Installation

The Nextbase 522GW requires a compatible Micro SD card for recording. For optimal performance, use a Nextbase Industrial Grade U3 microSD Card or a reputable brand with similar specifications (C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD). Incompatible cards may lead to recording issues or device malfunction.

1. Ensure the dash cam is powered off.
2. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the dash cam.
3. Insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing away from the screen until it clicks into place.

3.2. Mounting the Dash Cam

The 522GW uses an adhesive mount for secure attachment to your vehicle's windshield.

1. Clean the chosen area on your windshield thoroughly to ensure a strong bond.
2. Attach the adhesive mount to the dash cam.

4. Operation

4.1. Basic Recording

Once powered on, the Nextbase 522GW Dash Cam will automatically begin recording. It records in a continuous loop, overwriting the oldest unprotected footage when the SD card is full. In the event of an impact, the G-Sensor will automatically lock the current recording to prevent it from being overwritten.

4.2. Touch Screen Interface

The 522GW features an HD IPS touch screen for easy navigation through menus, settings, and playback. Tap icons to access functions and swipe to navigate.

4.3. MyNextbase App & AutoSync

The MyNextbase App (available on Android and iOS) allows you to connect your dash cam to your smartphone via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Nextbase AutoSync automatically transfers incident footage to your phone, making it easy to view, edit, and share recordings.
