- Plug your heating or cooling appliance into the outlet on the receiver.
4.3. Pairing (if necessary)
The remote controller and receiver are typically pre-paired at the factory. If they do not connect automatically, follow these steps:
- Ensure both the remote and receiver are powered on.
- Press and hold the power button on the receiver for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
- Within 10 seconds, press any button on the remote controller. The indicator light on the receiver will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power ON/OFF
- Remote Controller: The remote is always on to display temperature.
- Receiver: Press the power button on the receiver to manually turn the connected appliance ON or OFF.
5.2. Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)

Figure 5.1: Switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit
To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), press and hold the 'UP' arrow button on the remote controller for approximately 3 seconds.
5.3. Setting Operating Mode (Heating/Cooling)

Figure 5.2: Cooling and Heating Mode Switchable
Press the 'M' (Mode) button on the remote controller to toggle between Heating Mode and Cooling Mode. The display will indicate the active mode.
5.4. Setting Target Temperatures
The WTC100 allows you to set both an 'ON' temperature and an 'OFF' temperature for precise control.
- Press the 'SET' button once. The 'ON' temperature will flash. Use the 'UP' or 'DOWN' arrows to adjust the desired 'ON' temperature.
- Press the 'SET' button again. The 'OFF' temperature will flash. Use the 'UP' or 'DOWN' arrows to adjust the desired 'OFF' temperature.
- Press 'SET' a third time or wait a few seconds for the settings to save automatically.
Heating Mode Example: If 'ON' is set to 68°F and 'OFF' is set to 72°F, the heater will turn on when the temperature drops to 68°F and turn off when it reaches 72°F.
Video 5.3: Demonstration of setting Heating Mode with the WTC100. This video illustrates how to configure the thermostat to activate a heating device when the temperature falls below a set point and deactivate it when it rises above another set point.
Cooling Mode Example: If 'ON' is set to 78°F and 'OFF' is set to 74°F, the cooling device will turn on when the temperature rises to 78°F and turn off when it drops to 74°F.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the remote and receiver with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the low battery indicator appears on the remote's display, replace both AAA batteries immediately to ensure accurate temperature readings and continuous control.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Remote display is blank or dim. | Low or dead batteries. | Replace AAA batteries in the remote controller. |
| Receiver not responding to remote. | Not paired, out of range, or interference. | Re-pair the remote and receiver (see Section 4.3). Ensure remote is within 100m (open space) of the receiver. Avoid strong electromagnetic interference. |
| Connected appliance not turning ON/OFF at set temperatures. | Incorrect mode (Heating/Cooling), incorrect set temperatures, or appliance issue. | Verify the correct operating mode is selected. Check and adjust 'ON' and 'OFF' temperatures. Ensure the appliance itself is functioning correctly. |
| Temperature reading seems inaccurate. | Remote sensor obstructed or exposed to direct heat/cold. | Ensure the remote controller's sensor (located at the top) is not covered and is placed in an area representative of the desired ambient temperature. |
| Alarm sounds frequently. | High/low temperature alarm thresholds reached. | The WTC100 features high and low temperature alarms. Consult the full product manual for specific alarm settings and how to adjust or temporarily mute them. |
