1. Introduction

4. Power Supply

Your Gracioso CR-318 can be powered by two methods:

4.1. AA Batteries

The device requires 2 AA batteries (not included). To insert or replace batteries:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the unit.
  2. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. DC 4.5V Power Cable

You can also power the device using the provided DC 4.5V power cable.

  1. Connect the small end of the power cable to the DC 4.5V input jack on the side of the unit.
  2. Plug the USB end of the power cable into a compatible USB power adapter (e.g., phone charger, computer USB port) or a wall outlet with a USB adapter.

5. Initial Setup

After powering the device, you are ready to begin using its functions.

5.1. Connecting Earphones/Microphone

6. Operating the Cassette Player/Recorder

6.1. Playing a Cassette Tape

  1. Slide the mode switch on the top panel to 'TAPE'.
  2. Press the 'OPEN' button on the side to open the cassette compartment.
  3. Insert a cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards.
  4. Close the cassette compartment firmly until it clicks.
  5. Press the 'PLAY' button to start playback.
  6. Adjust the volume using the 'VOL' dial.
  7. Use 'F.FWD' for fast forward and 'F.REW' for fast rewind.
  8. Press 'STOP' to end playback. The tape player will automatically pop up the play button when the tape is finished playing.

6.2. Recording to a Cassette Tape

To record audio onto a blank cassette tape:

  1. Insert a blank cassette tape into the compartment.
  2. Ensure the mode switch is set to 'TAPE'.
  3. Press the 'PLAY' and 'REC' buttons simultaneously to begin recording. The 'REC' button will engage.
  4. You can record from the built-in microphone or an external microphone connected to the MIC input.
  5. Press 'STOP' to end recording.

7. Operating the AM/FM Radio

The Gracioso CR-318 features a built-in AM/FM radio with a 12.6-inch long antenna and an upgraded DSP chip for enhanced reception.

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
  2. Slide the mode switch on the top panel to 'AM' or 'FM'.
  3. Rotate the 'TUNING' dial to scan for radio stations.
  4. Adjust the volume using the 'VOL' dial.
