4. Power Supply
Your Gracioso CR-318 can be powered by two methods:
4.1. AA Batteries
The device requires 2 AA batteries (not included). To insert or replace batteries:
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the unit.
- Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. DC 4.5V Power Cable
You can also power the device using the provided DC 4.5V power cable.
- Connect the small end of the power cable to the DC 4.5V input jack on the side of the unit.
- Plug the USB end of the power cable into a compatible USB power adapter (e.g., phone charger, computer USB port) or a wall outlet with a USB adapter.

5. Initial Setup
After powering the device, you are ready to begin using its functions.
5.1. Connecting Earphones/Microphone
- To listen privately, plug the 3.5mm earphones into the headphone jack on the top panel.
- To use the external microphone for recording, plug it into the MIC input jack on the top panel.

6. Operating the Cassette Player/Recorder
6.1. Playing a Cassette Tape
- Slide the mode switch on the top panel to 'TAPE'.
- Press the 'OPEN' button on the side to open the cassette compartment.
- Insert a cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards.
- Close the cassette compartment firmly until it clicks.
- Press the 'PLAY' button to start playback.
- Adjust the volume using the 'VOL' dial.
- Use 'F.FWD' for fast forward and 'F.REW' for fast rewind.
- Press 'STOP' to end playback. The tape player will automatically pop up the play button when the tape is finished playing.

6.2. Recording to a Cassette Tape
To record audio onto a blank cassette tape:
- Insert a blank cassette tape into the compartment.
- Ensure the mode switch is set to 'TAPE'.
- Press the 'PLAY' and 'REC' buttons simultaneously to begin recording. The 'REC' button will engage.
- You can record from the built-in microphone or an external microphone connected to the MIC input.
- Press 'STOP' to end recording.

7. Operating the AM/FM Radio
The Gracioso CR-318 features a built-in AM/FM radio with a 12.6-inch long antenna and an upgraded DSP chip for enhanced reception.
- Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
- Slide the mode switch on the top panel to 'AM' or 'FM'.
- Rotate the 'TUNING' dial to scan for radio stations.
- Adjust the volume using the 'VOL' dial.
