Setup
Battery Installation
The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included).
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Press down on the latch and slide the battery cover off.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.
- The remote is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions
This remote control operates using infrared (IR) technology. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and your Hitachi Plasma TV.
Basic Functions

- Power Button: Located at the top right, press to turn the TV on or off.
- Input/Source: Use the "INPUT" button to cycle through available input sources (HDMI, AV, etc.).
- Channel Selection: Use the number pad (0-9) to directly enter channel numbers. Use the "CH+" and "CH-" buttons to navigate channels sequentially.
- Volume Control: Use the "VOL+" and "VOL-" buttons to adjust the volume. The "MUTE" button silences the TV audio.
- Navigation Pad: The central circular pad with "OK" button allows for menu navigation and selection. Use the directional arrows (Up, Down, Left, Right) to move through options.
- Menu/Guide: Access the TV's main menu or program guide using the "MENU" or "GUIDE" buttons.
- Exit: The "EXIT" button closes current menus or on-screen displays.
- Last Channel: The "LAST CH" button returns to the previously viewed channel.
Maintenance
- Keep the remote control dry. Avoid exposure to liquids.
- Do not drop or subject the remote to strong impacts.
- Clean the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
