2. Initial Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the HPA V340 from its packaging. Ensure all components, including the power cable, are present.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the supplied power cable to the rear of the amplifier and then to a suitable power outlet. The unit supports switchable voltage between 115V and 230V. Ensure the voltage switch on the rear panel is set correctly for your region before plugging in the unit.
  3. Input Connections: Connect your audio source(s) to the RCA input jacks on the rear panel. The HPA V340 has two RCA inputs.
  4. Output Connections:
    • For headphones, connect your headphones to the appropriate jack on the front panel (6.3mm or XLR 4-pin).
    • For line output to another amplifier or active speakers, use the RCA or balanced XLR line outputs on the rear panel.
  5. Pre-Gain Settings: The HPA V340 features extended pre-gain settings via DIP switches on the rear panel. These allow for fine-tuning the input sensitivity to match your source and headphones. Available settings are -18, -12, -6, 0, +6, +12, +18 dB. Adjust these according to your preference and equipment.
