4. Installation Instructions

There are two primary methods for installing your Hocazor Gel Ear Pads, depending on your headset's design:

Method 1: Peel and Stick (Adhesive Attachment)

This method is suitable for headsets where the original ear pads are attached to a plastic base that remains on the headset, particularly for Peltor 100/500 and Rangeguard models.

  1. Carefully remove the existing ear pads from your headset, ensuring the original plastic base remains intact.
  2. Clean the surface of the original plastic base thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion.
  3. Peel off the protective backing from the adhesive side of the Hocazor Gel Ear Pad.
  4. Align the gel ear pad with the original plastic base and firmly press it into place, ensuring a secure bond.

Method 2: Snap-in Design (Replacement of Plastic Base)

This method is suitable for headsets where the entire ear pad assembly, including a plastic base, can be removed and replaced, common for many 3M and other compatible headphones.

  1. Gently pry off the old ear pad assembly, including its plastic base, from your headset.
  2. The Hocazor Gel Ear Pads come with new plastic plates. If your headset uses a snap-in mechanism, attach the gel pads to these new plastic plates.
  3. Align the new gel ear pad assembly with the headset's mounting points and press firmly until it snaps securely into place.

Note: The packaging includes installation tips specific to your product. Please refer to them for additional guidance.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and hygiene of your Hocazor Gel Ear Pads, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the ear pads with a soft, damp cloth. Use mild soap and water if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the polyurethane skin.
  • Drying: Allow the ear pads to air dry completely before reattaching them to your headset or storing them. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or high heat.
  • Storage: Store the ear pads in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the ear pads for any signs of wear, tears, or damage. Replace them if they show significant deterioration to maintain optimal comfort and hearing protection.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Hocazor Gel Ear Pads, consider the following:

  • Discomfort or Poor Seal: Ensure the ear pads are correctly installed and fully seated on your headset. Check for any obstructions or misalignments.
  • Adhesive Not Holding: If using the peel-and-stick method, ensure the surface was clean and dry before application. Apply firm, even pressure during installation.
  • Damage: If the ear pads are torn or the gel is leaking, they should be replaced to maintain effectiveness and hygiene.
