8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Cadmos G3 Nixie Tube Clock, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Solution
Clock does not power on.
  • Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the clock and the power adapter.
  • Verify that the USB power adapter is firmly plugged into a working wall outlet.
  • Try using a different USB power adapter or USB port (e.g., on a computer) to rule out a faulty power source.
Time or settings are not saving after power off.
  • The clock has a memory backup feature. Ensure the internal CR2032 battery is functional. While typically pre-installed and charged, prolonged storage or a depleted battery might affect this.
  • Ensure you press the SET button to confirm and save settings before exiting the setting mode.
Display is too dim or too bright.
  • Access the brightness adjustment mode (usually by cycling through MODE or SET) and use the + or - buttons to adjust.
USB charging ports are not working.
  • Ensure the clock itself is powered on.
  • Verify the device you are trying to charge is compatible with 5V 1A charging.
  • Try a different USB charging cable.
