Setup and Installation
1. Battery Installation
- Remove the existing thermostatic head from your radiator valve.
- Press the battery compartment latch while taking out the shell of the KTF0177.
- Insert three 1.5V LR6 Alkaline AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Align the battery compartment latch and close the shell.
- Wait a few seconds until the "M" icon stops flashing on the display.

2. Physical Installation on Radiator Valve
- Ensure your radiator valve has an M30 x 1.5 mm thread. If not, use one of the provided adapters (Danfoss RA, Caleffi, or Giacomini) to ensure compatibility.
- Install the KTF0177 device onto the valve interface by screwing it on.
- Short press the middle button on the device. The "AD" icon will start flashing, indicating the device is performing initialization and debugging. Wait a few seconds until the initialization interface is displayed, confirming debugging is complete.

3. Pairing with Tuya Zigbee Hub
A Tuya Zigbee Hub is required for smart control. Ensure you have a compatible hub (e.g., Tuya Zigbee Hub, ZB Bridge-P V1.4.0 or later) and it is properly set up and connected to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network.
- Open the Smart Life/Tuya App on your smartphone.
- Add the Zigbee gateway (hub) to the app if you haven't already.
- On the KTF0177 device, turn the knob counter-clockwise until the screen displays "DF".
- Short press the middle button for 3 seconds. The screen icon "WiFi" will flash, indicating the device is in pairing mode.
- In the Smart Life/Tuya App, navigate to the gateway homepage and select "Add devices" to search for the radiator thermostat.
- Once found, add the device to your app.

Operating Instructions
1. Manual Temperature Adjustment
After successful installation, the device will display the current temperature. Rotate the knob on the thermostat to adjust the set temperature. The temperature adjustment range is 5°C to 35°C, with a precision of ±1°C.

2. Mode Selection (Automatic/Manual)
The KTF0177 supports both automatic and manual modes. Short press the middle button to switch between these two modes.
- Automatic Mode: When the "clock" icon is displayed on the screen, the automatic mode is active. This mode follows your programmed schedules.
- Manual Mode: When the "clock" icon disappears from the screen, the manual mode is active. You can manually set the temperature, and it will maintain that setting until changed.
3. App Control (Tuya/Smart Life)
Once paired with the Tuya Zigbee Hub, you can control your radiator thermostat remotely via the Smart Life/Tuya App.
- Remote Temperature Adjustment: Adjust the temperature from anywhere using the app.
- Scheduling: Create custom heating schedules for each day of the week, with up to four periods per day, to optimize comfort and energy savings.
- Group Control: Control multiple thermostats simultaneously by creating groups within the app.
- Voice Control: Integrate with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free temperature adjustments.

4. Child Lock Function
To prevent accidental changes to settings, the device features a child lock.
- Activate Child Lock: Press and hold the middle button for 3 seconds until "LC" appears on the screen.
- Deactivate Child Lock: Press and hold the middle button for 3 seconds again. "LC" will disappear, and the child lock will be disabled.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the low battery warning appears, replace all three AA batteries promptly. Ensure non-rechargeable 1.5V LR6 Alkaline AA batteries are used and inserted with correct polarity.
- Frost Protection: The device includes an automatic frost protection feature to prevent pipes from freezing.
- Anti-Calcification: Regular operation helps prevent valve calcification.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the following common issues and their solutions:
- Device does not turn on after inserting batteries:
- Ensure the battery is a non-rechargeable 1.5V LR6 Alkaline AA Battery.
- Ensure the battery is within its validity period.
- Ensure batteries are in good condition, with no signs of leaks, corrosion, or swelling.
- Ensure batteries are inserted according to their polarity.
- Screen displays "LC":
This indicates that the child lock is enabled. Press the middle button for 3 seconds to disable it.
- Screen does not display anything or displays "F5" or "Ad":
If the screen displays "F5" or "Ad", press the middle button and the normal display will appear again.
- How to judge whether the device is in auto mode or manual mode?
- Auto mode: When the "clock" icon is displayed on screen, it means the auto mode is on.
- Manual mode: When the "clock" icon disappears on screen, it means the manual mode is on.
- What if the device screen display is reversed?
Dismount the shell, and press the "Configuration key" for 3 seconds to change the screen display direction.
- How to restore factory settings?
Press the "Middle button" for a longer time and at the same time put batteries in, then the screen displays "FA" and blinks for 3 seconds. After that, the device is reset to factory settings and is automatically restarted. Note: All previous settings will be removed after the device is reset to factory settings.
- Error Codes:
- F0: Temperature sensor is abnormal. Please contact after-sales personnel.
- F1: Slow valve operation. Please check installation status and heating valve.
- F2: Excessively wide adjustment range. Please check whether temperature controller is fastened.
- F3: Excessively small adjustment range. Please check the heating valve.
- F4: Battery runs out. Please replace the battery.
- F5: No valve was detected. Please check whether the valve is installed.
