4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your EJEAS V4C Plus intercom units for communication:

1. Charge the Units: Before first use, fully charge both V4C Plus intercom units using the provided Type-C charging cables. The indicator light will change to indicate a full charge.
2. Connect Headsets: Plug the referee headsets into the Type-C headphone jack on each intercom unit. Ensure a secure connection.
3. Power On: Press and hold the Power/Phone button (often marked with a motorcycle icon or phone icon) on both intercom units until the red light comes on, then release. The units will then flash blue, indicating they are powered on and ready for pairing.
4. Pairing (2 Units):
   • On one unit, press and hold the 'A' button.
   • On the second unit, press and hold the 'B' button.
   • Hold both buttons simultaneously for approximately 5 seconds until the units indicate successful pairing (e.g., a voice prompt or a change in light pattern).
5. Pairing (3 or 4 Units):
   • After pairing two units (Unit 1 and Unit 2), on Unit 2, press and hold the 'A' button.
   • On Unit 3, press and hold the 'B' button until they are paired.
   • To add a fourth unit (Unit 4), repeat the process: on Unit 3, press and hold 'A', and on Unit 4, press and hold 'B'.
   • Once all units are paired, a quick press of the 'A' button on any unit should connect them all for group communication.
6. Wearing the Unit: Place the intercom unit in the provided running armband or secure it to your clothing. Adjust the headset for comfort and ensure the microphone is positioned correctly near your mouth for clear audio transmission.

Note: Pairing may need to be performed each time the units are powered on. Listen for voice prompts from the headset to confirm successful pairing.

5. Operating Instructions

Once your EJEAS V4C Plus units are set up and paired, operating them is straightforward:

5.1. Basic Communication

• Initiate Intercom: After successful pairing, the units should automatically establish a full-duplex communication link. You can simply speak to communicate with other paired users.
• Volume Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the intercom unit to adjust the listening volume.

5.2. FM Radio Function

The V4C Plus includes a built-in FM radio function:

• Turn On/Off FM Radio: Press the 'FM' button to toggle the FM radio on or off.
• Change Stations: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to scan through available FM radio stations.

5.3. Smartphone Connectivity

The intercom can connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth for calls or music playback:

• Pairing with Smartphone: Ensure the intercom is not actively paired with other intercom units. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for "EJEAS V4C Plus" (or similar name). Select to pair.

  • Verify that the headset cable is firmly plugged into the intercom unit. A loose connection can cause intermittent audio.
• Poor audio quality (noise/echo):
