3. Setup Guide

3.1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully unpack all components and verify that all items listed in Section 2.1 are present and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, please contact customer support immediately.

3.2. NVR Setup

  1. Place the NVR unit on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  2. Connect the included power adapter to the NVR's power input and then to a power outlet.
  3. Connect the USB mouse to one of the USB ports on the NVR.
  4. If you wish to view the footage on a larger display, connect an HDMI cable from the NVR's HDMI output to your TV or external monitor's HDMI input.

5.3. Hard Disk Management

The 1TB HDD is pre-installed and configured for continuous recording. The system will automatically overwrite the oldest footage when the disk is full. No manual intervention is typically required for routine operation.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. No Image on Screen

  • Ensure the NVR is powered on and the power adapter is securely connected.
  • If using an external monitor, verify the HDMI cable connection and that the monitor is set to the correct input source.
  • Check if cameras are properly connected to the NVR's PoE ports.

6.2. Clicking Sound from NVR

It is possible to hear a clicking sound from the NVR unit after installing the camera set. This is not a malfunction but the sound of the hard disk reading and writing data. Reinstalling the hard disk can sometimes improve this situation. For specific instructions on how to reinstall the hard disk, please contact Sovmiku customer support via LINE or email. They can provide detailed operation procedures and explanatory photos.

6.3. Remote Viewing Not Working

  • Verify that the NVR is connected to your router and has an active internet connection.
  • Ensure your smartphone or PC also has a stable internet connection.
  • Check if the device has been correctly added to the mobile app/PC software.
  • Confirm that the app has necessary permissions on your mobile device.

6.4. Poor Image Quality

  • Clean the camera lenses.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's field of view.
  • Check the recording resolution settings in the NVR menu.
