Setup and Installation

The AGM wall shelf offers two flexible installation methods, allowing you to install the metal brackets on the top or bottom of the wooden board. The included hardware is suitable for various wall types, including wood, stone, brick, concrete, and plasterboard walls.

Recommended Tools (Not Included):

  • Pencil
  • Electric Drill
  • Hammer
  • Screwdriver

Installation Steps:

  1. Mark Position: Keep the wall shelf horizontal using the provided level and mark its desired position on the wall with a pencil.
  2. Drill Holes: Drill holes in the marked areas using an electric drill. Ensure the drill bit size matches the anchors.
  3. Insert Anchors: For drywall or concrete walls, gently hammer the plastic anchors into the drilled holes until flush with the wall surface. For wood studs, anchors may not be necessary.
  4. Mount Shelf: Position the wall shelf with its brackets over the anchors/holes. Use a screwdriver to secure the long screws through the brackets into the anchors or directly into wood studs.

Maintenance

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your AGM Wooden Wall Shelves:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the shelves with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the wood finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the mounting screws and brackets to ensure they remain tight and secure. Retighten if necessary.
  • Environment: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive moisture, which can cause warping or discoloration of the wood.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your wall shelves, consider the following:

  • Shelf feels loose: Check all mounting screws and ensure they are securely fastened to the wall and brackets. If installed on drywall, ensure anchors are properly seated and not stripped.
  • Shelf is not level: Remove items from the shelf and use the provided level to re-check its horizontal alignment. Adjust mounting points if necessary.
  • Damage to wall: If the wall material is weak or damaged during installation, consider relocating the shelf to a more suitable area or reinforcing the wall.
