3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The Roxel RC-3 remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Press down on the latch and slide the battery cover off.
  3. Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment. Incorrect installation can prevent the remote from functioning.
  4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove batteries if the remote control will not be used for an extended period.

4. Operating Instructions

The Roxel RC-3 remote control operates using infrared signals. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the infrared receiver on your Roxel micro Hifi system for optimal performance.

4.1 Button Functions

  • Power (⏻): Turns the Hifi system on or off.
  • AUTO / Stop (■): Initiates auto-tuning for radio or stops playback.
  • Eject (⏏): Opens or closes the CD tray.
  • ALBUM+/-: Navigates between albums or folders.
  • VOL+/-: Adjusts the volume level.
  • OK / Play/Pause (▶∣∣): Confirms selections in menus or plays/pauses audio playback.
  • Skip Back (⏮): Skips to the beginning of the current track or the previous track.
  • Skip Forward (⏭): Skips to the next track.
  • TUNE+/-: Adjusts radio frequency manually.
  • EQ: Cycles through equalizer presets.
  • Mute (🔇): Mutes or unmutes the audio output.
  • UNPAIR: Initiates the unpairing process for Bluetooth devices.
  • Source Buttons (CD, LINE IN, USB, DAB, FM, BT): Selects the desired audio input source.
  • Number Buttons (0-9): Used for direct track selection, radio station input, or menu navigation.
  • PRESET: Accesses stored radio station presets.
  • PROG: Enters programming mode for CD tracks or radio presets.
  • CLOCK: Displays or sets the system clock.
  • MENU: Accesses the system's main menu.
  • SLEEP: Sets the sleep timer.
  • INFO: Displays track, station, or system information.
  • INTRO: Plays the first few seconds of each track.
  • REPEAT: Repeats the current track or album.
  • SHUFFLE: Plays tracks in a random order.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the batteries when the remote control's range decreases or if it stops responding. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries.

5.3 Storage

If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device.
