Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Weight Capacity: The top bunk bed has a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs. The bottom bed also has a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs. Do not exceed these limits.
• Guardrails: The upper bed is equipped with full guardrails to prevent falls. Ensure all guardrails are securely installed before use.
• Ladder Safety: Use the provided 4-step ladder for safe access to the upper bunk. Ensure the ladder is stable and properly attached.
• Mattress Thickness: For the top bed, the recommended mattress thickness is 6 inches. For the bottom bed, the recommended mattress thickness is 8-10 inches.
• Regular Checks: Periodically check and tighten all bolts and connections to ensure stability and safety.
• Children Safety: Bunk beds are not recommended for children under 6 years of age on the upper bunk.
• Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the bed.

Package Contents

Before beginning assembly, ensure all parts and hardware are present. This product is typically delivered in two packages. If packages arrive separately, please wait for all components before starting assembly.

• Bed frame components (headboards, footboards, side rails, guardrails, ladder)

• Two storage drawers with wheels and handles

Setup (Assembly Instructions)

Assembly requires at least two adults. Clear a spacious area for assembly. Do not fully tighten bolts until instructed.

Step 1: Assemble the Headboards and Footboards

1. Identify the headboard and footboard panels for both the upper and lower beds.
2. Attach the vertical support posts to the panels using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are snug but not fully tightened.

Step 2: Attach Side Rails

1. Connect the side rails to the assembled headboards and footboards for both the upper and lower bed frames.
2. Ensure the rail connectors are properly aligned and secured with bolts.

Step 3: Install Slats

1. Place the wooden slats across the support beams of both the upper and lower bed frames.
2. Secure each slat with the provided screws, ensuring even spacing.

Step 4: Assemble and Attach Guardrails and Ladder (for Bunk Bed Configuration)

1. Attach the full guardrails to the upper bunk bed frame using the designated hardware.
2. Secure the ladder to the upper bunk bed frame. Ensure it is firmly attached and stable.

Step 5: Assemble Storage Drawers

1. Assemble the drawer boxes according to the diagrams, attaching the bottom panel and side panels.
2. Install the wheels onto the bottom of each drawer.
3. Attach the handles to the front of each drawer.
4. Slide the assembled drawers under the lower bed frame.

Step 6: Final Tightening

Once all components are in place and aligned, fully tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions

Using the Storage Drawers

The two storage drawers are designed for easy access. Simply pull the handles to roll the drawers out from under the bed. Push them back in when not in use to maximize space.

Converting to Two Platform Beds

This bunk bed can be converted into two separate full-size platform beds. Follow these steps:

1. Remove Ladder and Guardrails: Carefully detach the ladder and guardrails from the upper bunk.
2. Separate Bunks: With assistance, carefully lift the upper bunk frame off the lower bunk frame.
3. Position Beds: Place the two bed frames in your desired locations. The lower bed will retain the under-bed storage drawers, while the upper bed will become a standalone platform bed with spacious under-bed clearance.
4. Store Components: Store the ladder and guardrails in a safe place if you plan to reconfigure the bunk bed in the future.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the bed frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the wood finish.
• Tighten Hardware: Periodically (every 3-6 months) check all bolts, screws, and connections. Tighten any loose hardware to maintain structural integrity and prevent squeaking.
• Avoid Excessive Moisture: Protect the wood from prolonged exposure to moisture or extreme temperature changes.
• Weight Distribution: Ensure weight is evenly distributed on both bunks to prevent undue stress on the frame.
