Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Place the sewing machine on a stable, flat surface with adequate lighting. Ensure there is enough space around the machine for comfortable operation.

2. Power Connection

3. Bobbin Winding

Before you begin sewing, the bobbin needs to be wound with thread. Follow these steps:

1. Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
2. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide.
3. Wrap the thread around the bobbin winding tension disc.
4. Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
5. Wind the thread a few times manually around the bobbin.
6. Push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
7. Press the foot pedal to start winding. Stop when the bobbin is full.
8. Cut the thread and remove the bobbin.

4. Threading the Machine (Upper Thread)

Correct threading is crucial for proper stitch formation. Follow the numbered guides on the machine and these steps:

1. Raise the presser foot lifter.
2. Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
3. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide.
4. Bring the thread down through the tension discs.
5. Pull the thread up through the take-up lever.
6. Bring the thread down to the needle area.
7. Use the automatic needle threader or manually thread the needle from front to back.

5. Inserting the Bobbin (Lower Thread)

Once the bobbin is wound, insert it into the bobbin case according to the machine's markings. Ensure the thread unwinds in the correct direction.

6. Needle Installation and Replacement

To replace the needle, turn off the machine and loosen the needle clamp screw. Insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back, pushing it up as far as it will go, then tighten the screw.

1. Stitch Selection

The Poolin EOC990 offers 108 stitch applications, including 36 built-in stitches. Use the stitch selector dial to choose your desired stitch pattern. Refer to the stitch chart on the machine for visual guidance.
