Setup and Installation
Carefully follow these steps to install your MOUNTUP Single Monitor Wall Mount. It is recommended to have a second person assist during certain stages of the installation.
1. Wall Compatibility
This monitor mount is designed for installation on solid wood studs, concrete walls, or brick walls. DO NOT mount on drywall alone.

2. Attaching Arm Assembly to Wall
Locate a suitable mounting position on your chosen wall type. Use a stud finder to accurately locate the center of a wood stud if applicable. Mark the pilot holes for drilling.
Drill pilot holes according to the manual's specifications for your wall type. Secure the arm assembly to the wall using the provided lag bolts and washers. Ensure the assembly is level before fully tightening.

3. Attaching Monitor to VESA Plate
Attach the VESA plate to the back of your monitor using the appropriate screws and washers provided. Ensure the plate is securely fastened to the monitor's VESA mounting holes.
4. Mounting Monitor onto Arm
Carefully slide the monitor (with the attached VESA plate) onto the head of the swivel arm. Ensure it clicks securely into place. Install the security bolt to prevent accidental dislodgement.
Operating and Adjustments
The MOUNTUP monitor arm offers full motion capabilities for optimal viewing comfort and ergonomic positioning.
1. Gas Spring Tension Adjustment
The gas spring tension needs to be adjusted to match your monitor's weight. This ensures the arm can hold the monitor at any desired height without drifting up or down.
- If the monitor falls down: Turn the screw counter-clockwise ("+") direction to increase gas spring tension for a heavier monitor.
- If the monitor rises up: Turn the screw clockwise ("-") direction to reduce gas spring tension for a lighter monitor.
Hold the arm in a horizontal position while making adjustments. Refer to the table in the image for approximate turns based on monitor weight.

2. Tilt Angle Adjustment
To adjust the monitor's tilt angle (up 90° / down 45°):
- Loosen the tilting bolt.
- Adjust the monitor to your desired angle.
- Retighten the tilting bolt to secure the position.
3. Swivel and Rotation
The monitor arm allows for extensive movement:
- Swivel: The arm can swivel up to 270° at the wall plate and 180° at the monitor connection point, allowing you to easily share your screen or adjust your viewing angle from different positions in the room.
- Rotation: The monitor can rotate 360° (from landscape to portrait orientation) without removing it from the mount.
- Height Adjustment: The gas spring arm provides up to 12.2 inches of vertical height adjustment, allowing you to position your monitor at an ergonomic eye level.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MOUNTUP monitor arm, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Cleaning: Wipe down the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check all bolts and connections to ensure they are secure. Retighten if necessary.
- Gas Spring: If the monitor arm's movement becomes stiff or too loose over time, re-adjust the gas spring tension as described in the "Operating and Adjustments" section.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Monitor arm does not hold position (drifts up or down). | Incorrect gas spring tension for monitor weight. | Adjust the gas spring tension using the included hex key. Turn counter-clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors, or clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors. Refer to the "Gas Spring Tension Adjustment" section. |
| Monitor tilts forward or backward excessively. | Tilting bolt is too loose. | Retighten the tilting bolt on the VESA plate connection point. Refer to the "Tilt Angle Adjustment" section. |
| Arm feels stiff or difficult to move. | Gas spring tension is too high or joints are tight. | Reduce gas spring tension slightly. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the arm's pivot points if necessary. |
| Monitor is not level after installation. | Arm assembly not perfectly level during wall mounting. | Slightly loosen the wall mounting bolts, adjust the arm assembly to be level, and then retighten the bolts securely. |
