Setup

1. Assemble the Base: Securely attach the main sharpening body to the TSPROF table stand. Ensure all fasteners are tightened to prevent movement during operation.
2. Install Clamps: Attach the two whole-milled clamps to the main body. These clamps are designed to hold various blade types.
3. Prepare the Guide Rod: Insert the guide rod into the main body's pivot mechanism. This rod will hold the sharpening stones.
4. Power On Axicube-I: If your model includes the Axicube-I electronic angle finder, ensure it is properly installed and powered on.

Operating Instructions

1. Secure the Blade: Open the clamps and carefully insert the knife blade, ensuring it is centered and firmly secured. Tighten the clamp screws using the provided hex driver. The system accommodates blade lengths from 60 to 450 mm (2.4" - 17.7") and thicknesses up to 7mm (0.275").

2. Set the Sharpening Angle: Use the rack-and-pinion angle adjustment mechanism to set the desired sharpening angle. The integrated Axicube-I digital angle finder provides precise readings with an accuracy of 0.01°. The sharpening angle can be set from 8° to 39° per side, for a total angle of up to 78°.

3. Select and Install Sharpening Stone: Choose the appropriate diamond plate based on the current state of your blade and desired sharpness. The kit includes F150 (Extra coarse), F220 (Coarse), F400 (Medium), F600 (Fine), and F1000 (Very Fine) grits. Insert the selected stone into the universal abrasive holder on the guide rod. The holder supports stones up to 210 mm long.

4. Begin Sharpening: Apply light, consistent pressure as you slide the stone along the blade's edge. The semi-automatic knife turning unit allows you to flip the blade to sharpen the other side while maintaining the exact same angle, ensuring a symmetrical edge.

5. Progress Through Grits: Start with a coarser grit to establish the edge, then gradually move to finer grits to refine and polish the edge.
