2. Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when installing or working with electrical equipment. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.

  • WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power before installation or servicing.
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
  • Ensure the supply voltage is compatible with the fixture's requirements (120 Volts).
  • Do not handle the fixture with wet hands or when standing on wet or damp surfaces.

5. Setup and Installation

The Sunco UFO LED High Bay Light offers flexible installation options. Always ensure power is disconnected before beginning installation.

5.1 Installation Methods

The fixture supports three primary installation methods:

  1. Hook Mount: Utilize the included lifting ring to hang the fixture from a suitable ceiling hook or chain.
  2. Ceiling Mount: Secure the fixture directly to a ceiling surface using appropriate mounting hardware (not included, may require additional accessories).
  3. ¾” NPT Pole Mount: Attach the fixture to a ¾” NPT threaded pole (pole and adapter not included).

5.2 Step-by-Step Installation (Hook Mount Example)

  1. Prepare the Installation Area: Ensure the power supply to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker. Verify with a voltage tester.
  2. Secure the Mounting Point: Install a sturdy ceiling hook or chain capable of supporting the weight of the fixture (approx. 3 lbs per light).
  3. Attach the Fixture: Connect the lifting ring on the top of the UFO High Bay Light to the installed ceiling hook or chain.
  4. Connect Power: The fixture comes with a pre-attached 70.8-inch plug-and-play power cord. Plug the cord into a compatible 120V power outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded.
  5. Test: Once securely mounted and connected, restore power at the circuit breaker and test the light.

6. Operating Instructions

The Sunco UFO LED High Bay Light is designed for simple operation.

  • Power On/Off: The light is controlled by the power switch of the electrical circuit it is connected to. Simply toggle the wall switch or circuit breaker to turn the light on or off.
  • Brightness: This model provides a fixed brightness of 19,500 lumens at 5000K Daylight. It is not dimmable unless connected to a compatible dimming system (sold separately and requires professional installation).

7. Maintenance

The Sunco UFO LED High Bay Light requires minimal maintenance due to its durable design and long-lasting LED technology.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the fixture. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture and its mounting hardware for any signs of damage or wear. Ensure all connections are secure.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Sunco UFO LED High Bay Light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
