  • WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at the fuse or circuit breaker before installation or servicing.
  • WARNING: Risk of fire. Use only with specified voltage and wattage.
  • Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.
  • Ensure the fixture is properly grounded.
  • Do not operate the fixture with a damaged lens or housing.
  • Avoid looking directly into the LED light source when illuminated.
  • Keep flammable materials away from the fixture.

3. Package Contents

4.2 Wiring and Installation Steps

Before proceeding, ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker.

  1. Select Mounting Method: Determine whether to use the yoke mount or slipfitter mount based on your installation surface. Attach the appropriate mount to the fixture if not already pre-installed.
  2. Secure the Mount: For yoke mount, attach the yoke to the desired flat surface using appropriate hardware. For slipfitter mount, slide the slipfitter onto a standard 2 3/8" tenon and secure it.
  3. Connect Wiring: Route the electrical supply wires through the mounting structure. Connect the fixture's black wire to the supply's hot wire, the white wire to the neutral wire, and the green/ground wire to the supply's ground wire. Use approved wire connectors.
  4. Seal Connections: Ensure all wiring connections are secure and properly sealed to prevent moisture ingress, especially for outdoor installations.
  5. Mount the Fixture: Securely attach the flood light fixture to the installed mount, ensuring it is stable and correctly oriented.
  6. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are checked, restore power at the circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions

The ESXF4 flood light offers customizable settings for brightness and color temperature, along with an integrated dusk-to-dawn sensor.

5.1 Adjusting Brightness (Lumen Output)

The fixture features three field-selectable lumen output settings (High, Medium, Low). These settings can be adjusted via a switch located on the side of the fixture. Refer to Figure 3 for switch location.

5.2 Selecting Color Temperature (CCT)

Choose from three color temperature options: 3000K (Warm White), 4000K (Cool White), or 5000K (Daylight). A separate switch on the fixture allows for easy selection of the desired color temperature. Refer to Figure 3 for switch location.

5.3 Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor

An integrated photocell provides automatic dusk-to-dawn operation, turning the light on at dusk and off at dawn. This feature can be enabled or disabled using a dedicated on/off switch on the fixture. Refer to Figure 3 for switch location.

6. Maintenance

The ESXF4 LED Flood Light requires minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning can help maintain optimal performance and appearance.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the fixture and the lens with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or lens.
  • Inspection: Annually inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear. Ensure mounting hardware remains secure.
  • LEDs: The LED light source is designed for long life and is not user-serviceable. Do not attempt to replace individual LEDs.
