Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your Faber chimney.

Heat Auto-Clean Function:

  • Activate the auto-clean function weekly or bi-weekly, depending on cooking frequency.
  • During the auto-clean cycle, the heating element melts accumulated oil, which then drips into the oil collector.
  • The cycle typically lasts for a set duration, after which the chimney will automatically switch off or return to standby.

Cleaning the Oil Collector:

  • The oil collector is located at the bottom of the chimney.
  • Carefully slide out the oil collector once it is full or after an auto-clean cycle.
  • Empty the collected oil and wash the collector with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reinserting.
  • Ensure the oil collector is securely in place before operating the chimney.

Exterior Cleaning:

  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish.
  • For the curved glass, use a glass cleaner and a soft cloth to avoid streaks.
