It connects via 2.4GHz WiFi, allowing for remote monitoring through the INKBIRD App. Key features include real-time data display, historical data storage for up to one year, smart alert functions for temperature and low battery, and data export capabilities. Setup Guide

1. Install Batteries

Open the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert three AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely. The indicator light on the device will flash, indicating it has powered on.

2. Download and Register the INKBIRD App

Scan the QR code provided in the physical user manual or search for "INKBIRD" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS). Download and install the app. Register a new account or log in if you already have one.

3. Connect to 2.4GHz WiFi

The IBS-TH3 supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks only. 5GHz WiFi is not supported. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network before proceeding with the pairing process.

4. Add Device in the App

1. Open the INKBIRD App.
2. Tap the "+" icon or "Add Device" to begin the pairing process.
3. Select the IBS-TH3 from the list of available devices.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the device to your WiFi network. This typically involves pressing and holding the button on the device for 5-8 seconds until the indicator light enters connection state, then entering your WiFi password in the app.
5. Once successfully paired, the device will appear in your app's device list.

Remote Monitoring via App

Once connected to WiFi, you can monitor temperature and humidity remotely from anywhere using the INKBIRD App. The app provides real-time data, historical graphs, and allows you to set recording time intervals.

Smart Alert Function

Set custom temperature and humidity ranges within the INKBIRD App. If readings go outside your set parameters, you will receive instant notifications on your mobile device. The app also provides low battery reminders.

Voice Control with Alexa

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The device requires three AAA batteries. When the battery level is low, the app will send a notification. Replace all three batteries simultaneously to ensure optimal performance. Refer to the "Install Batteries" section in the Setup Guide for instructions on opening the battery compartment.

Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water, as it is not waterproof.

Placement

Troubleshooting

Device Not Connecting to WiFi

• Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The device does not support 5GHz networks.
• Check that the device is within range of your WiFi router.
• Verify that the WiFi password entered in the app is correct.
• Try resetting the device by removing and reinserting the batteries, then attempt pairing again.
• Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network during the initial setup.

Inaccurate Readings

• Ensure the device is not placed in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high airflow (e.g., directly under an air vent).
• The INKBIRD App allows for accuracy calibration. Navigate to the device settings in the app to perform calibration if needed.
• The device uses a Swiss-made accurate sensor with a temperature accuracy of ±0.3℃/±0.5℉ and humidity accuracy of ±3%RH.
