3.2 Channel and Group Selection

The device offers 100 available channels and six groups (A, B, C, D, E, F) for each channel. This allows for complex lighting setups and minimizes interference in crowded environments.

  • Changing Channels: Use the control dial to navigate to the channel setting and rotate to select the desired channel.
  • Selecting Groups: Press the dedicated buttons next to groups A, B, C to activate or deactivate them. Groups D-F can be accessed and controlled via the Profoto Control app.
  • Adjusting Power: With a group selected, rotate the control dial to increase or decrease the flash power output.

3.3 Sync and Remote Control

The Profoto Connect Pro provides reliable triggering and remote control over a range of 0.5 to 100 meters (1.5 to 330 feet). For optimal performance, ensure a clear line of sight between the Connect Pro and your Profoto flashes.

3.4 TTL and HSS Functionality

  • TTL (Through-The-Lens): The Connect Pro supports TTL for Canon cameras, automatically adjusting flash power for balanced lighting. Activate TTL mode using the dedicated 'AUTO' button or through the menu.
  • HSS (High-Speed Sync): Freeze motion and overpower ambient light with HSS. This feature allows you to use flash at shutter speeds faster than your camera's native sync speed, providing greater creative control over depth of field.

3.5 Profoto Control App Integration

For advanced control and seamless firmware updates, download the Profoto Control app. The app allows you to control all groups, view battery status, and manage settings from your smartphone or tablet via Profoto AirX technology.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the Profoto Connect Pro, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device's finish and electronics.

4.2 Storage

When not in use, store the Profoto Connect Pro in its protective pouch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the device from the camera hot-shoe before storage.

  • Ensure the Connect Pro is securely mounted on the camera's hot-shoe.
  • Check camera settings to ensure external flash is enabled.

5.3 Inconsistent Flash Exposure
