3. Product Overview

3.1. MECOOL KD5 TV Stick

The KD5 TV Stick features a minimalist design, making it discreet when connected to your TV. It includes a male HDMI connector for direct connection to your TV's HDMI port and a micro USB port for power. The device is lightweight and compact, designed for easy portability and setup.

3.2. Remote Control

The included remote control connects via Bluetooth, ensuring responsive and reliable operation. It features a simple layout with a directional pad and an OK button at its center for easy navigation. Dedicated buttons for popular streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, and Google Play provide quick access. A Google Assistant button allows for voice commands, enhancing convenience.

4. Setup Guide

4.1. Connecting to Your TV

1. Direct Connection: Plug the MECOOL KD5 TV Stick directly into an available HDMI port on your television or monitor. Ensure the port's position allows for direct connection.
2. Using the HDMI Extension Cable: If the HDMI port is in a difficult-to-reach position or is too close to other ports, use the included 0.3m HD Extended Lead. Connect the TV Stick to one end of the extension cable and the other end to your TV's HDMI port.

4.2. Powering the Device

The KD5 TV Stick requires external power. You have two options:

1. Via TV's USB Port: Connect the Micro USB Power Cable to the TV Stick's micro USB port and the other end to an available USB port on your TV. This allows the stick to power on simultaneously with your TV.
2. Via Power Adapter: Connect the Micro USB Power Cable to the TV Stick's micro USB port and the other end to the included 5V 1A Power Adapter. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.

4.3. First-Time Setup Wizard

When you power on the KD5 TV Stick for the first time, you will be guided through an initial setup process:

1. Remote Pairing: The system will prompt you to pair the Bluetooth remote. Hold down the Home button and the Back button simultaneously on the remote until it pairs with the TV Stick.
2. Network Connection: Connect to your home Wi-Fi network by selecting your network name and entering the password.
3. Google Account Login: Sign in to your Google account to access Google Play Store, personalized recommendations, and other Google services.
4. (Optional) Remote Programming: You may be given the option to program the remote control to manage your TV's volume and power functions. This step is optional but can enhance convenience by consolidating controls.

5.1. Android TV OS 11 Interface

5.2. Streaming and Content Playback

The device is fully Google certified, including Netflix ESN certification, which ensures you can play premium movie services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in HD (1080p) quality. It supports HDR10 and HDR10+ for enhanced visual experience. Supported internet services include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and YouTube.

Note: The MECOOL KD5 TV Stick supports a maximum resolution of 1080p and does not support 4K resolution.

5.3. Key Features

• Google Assistant: Use the dedicated Google Assistant button on your remote to search for content, control smart home devices, and get information using voice commands.
• Chromecast Built-in: Easily cast content from your smartphone, tablet, or computer directly to your TV.

• Remote Control Not Responding:

• App Crashing/Freezing:
  • Restart the app.

  • Restart the TV Stick.
• Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues:
