Setup
1. Placement

2. Connecting Devices
- Connect your video source (e.g., Blu-ray player, gaming console, PC) to one of the HDMI input ports on the rear of the projector using an HDMI cable.
- For external audio, connect an audio cable from the projector's Audio Out port to your sound system, or use the S/PDIF digital audio output.
- Plug the AC power cord into the projector's power inlet and then into a wall outlet.
3. Powering On/Off
- To power on, press the Power button on the remote control or the projector's control panel.
- To power off, press the Power button twice. The projector will enter a cooling down sequence before fully shutting off.
4. Image Adjustment
- Focus: Rotate the focus ring on the lens until the image is sharp and clear.
- Zoom: Use the zoom lever on the projector to adjust the image size. The UHZ45 features a 1.3x zoom.
- Keystone Correction: If the image appears trapezoidal, use the keystone correction feature in the projector menu to square the image. The projector supports 2D keystone correction.
- Four-Corner Adjustment: For advanced image alignment, use the four-corner adjustment feature to precisely shape the image to your screen.

- Brightness: Adjust the overall lightness or darkness of the image.
- Contrast: Controls the difference between the lightest and darkest parts of the image.

The projector features built-in speakers. Adjust volume using the remote control. For enhanced audio, connect to an external sound system via Audio Out or S/PDIF. The projector also supports eARC for compatible sound systems.
5. Gaming Mode
For optimal gaming performance, select the "Game" display mode. This mode minimizes input lag, providing an ultra-low 4ms response time at 1080p 240Hz for a smooth gaming experience.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Lens
Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Apply a small amount of lens cleaning solution to the cloth, not directly to the lens, and gently wipe in a circular motion.
2. Cleaning the Casing and Vents
Wipe the projector casing with a soft, damp cloth. Use a small brush or compressed air to clean dust from the ventilation openings to prevent overheating.
3. Laser Light Source
The Optoma UHZ45 uses a laser light source with a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, eliminating the need for lamp replacement. No specific user maintenance is required for the laser module itself.
