Setup

1. Placement

Position the projector on a stable, flat surface or mount it to the ceiling. Ensure the projector is centered with the screen for optimal image geometry. The throw ratio of 1.5-1.66:1 allows for flexible placement relative to the screen size.

2. Connecting Devices

  1. Connect your video source (e.g., Blu-ray player, gaming console, PC) to one of the HDMI input ports on the rear of the projector using an HDMI cable.
  2. For external audio, connect an audio cable from the projector's Audio Out port to your sound system, or use the S/PDIF digital audio output.
  3. Plug the AC power cord into the projector's power inlet and then into a wall outlet.

3. Powering On/Off

4. Image Adjustment

Press the "Source" button on the remote or control panel to cycle through available input sources (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3).

4. Audio Settings

The projector features built-in speakers. Adjust volume using the remote control. For enhanced audio, connect to an external sound system via Audio Out or S/PDIF. The projector also supports eARC for compatible sound systems.

5. Gaming Mode

For optimal gaming performance, select the "Game" display mode. This mode minimizes input lag, providing an ultra-low 4ms response time at 1080p 240Hz for a smooth gaming experience.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Lens

Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Apply a small amount of lens cleaning solution to the cloth, not directly to the lens, and gently wipe in a circular motion.

2. Cleaning the Casing and Vents

Wipe the projector casing with a soft, damp cloth. Use a small brush or compressed air to clean dust from the ventilation openings to prevent overheating.

3. Laser Light Source

The Optoma UHZ45 uses a laser light source with a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, eliminating the need for lamp replacement. No specific user maintenance is required for the laser module itself.
