1. Overview

The BIAT Rechargeable Headlamp is designed for versatility and comfort, providing powerful illumination for a wide range of activities. Featuring a 230° wide beam and a focused spotlight, it ensures comprehensive visibility. Its motion sensor mode allows for hands-free operation, while the lightweight and waterproof design makes it ideal for outdoor adventures and various tasks.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Headlamp

Before first use, fully charge your BIAT Headlamp. The device features a built-in 1200mAh Lithium Polymer battery. Connect the included USB-C cable to the charging port on the headlamp and to a compatible USB power source. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours.

3.2 Adjusting the Headband

The headlamp features an adjustable elastic headband. To adjust, simply slide the buckles on either side of the band until you achieve a snug yet comfortable fit around your head. The soft silicone material ensures comfort even during prolonged use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Light Modes

Press the power button located on the side of the headlamp to cycle through the 6 available light modes:

  1. COB Light High: 350 Lumens (approx. 2.5 hours runtime)
  2. COB Light Low: 150 Lumens (approx. 3.5-4 hours runtime)
  3. XPE High: 150 Lumens (approx. 4-4.5 hours runtime)
  4. XPE Low: 60 Lumens (approx. 6-6.5 hours runtime)
  5. Strobe Mode: Activated by long-pressing the On/Off Button. Both XPE and COB lights will flash simultaneously (approx. 6-8 hours runtime).

4.2 Motion Sensor Mode

The headlamp is equipped with an intelligent motion sensor for convenient hands-free operation. To activate:

  1. Press the dedicated motion sensor button (usually indicated by a wave icon) on the side of the headlamp. A red/green indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Once activated, simply wave your hand within 10 cm (approximately 4 inches) of the sensor to quickly switch the light ON or OFF.
  3. To exit motion sensor mode, press the motion sensor button again.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning and Storage

  • Wipe the headlamp clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for extended periods, charge the battery every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.

5.2 Water Resistance

The BIAT Headlamp has an IPX4 waterproof rating. This means it is protected against splashing water from all angles. It is suitable for use in light rain or snowy conditions. Do not submerge the headlamp in water.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Headlamp not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. If fully charged, try resetting by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
  • Light is dim: The battery may be low. Recharge the headlamp fully.
  • Motion sensor not responding: Ensure motion sensor mode is activated (check indicator light). Clean the sensor area to remove any obstructions. Ensure your hand is within the 10 cm detection range.
  • Short battery life: Ensure the headlamp is fully charged. Using high brightness modes continuously will drain the battery faster. Consider using lower brightness settings for extended runtime.
