3. Important Safety Information
Please read and understand all instructions before beginning the repair. This process requires precision and care. Proceed at your own risk.
- Heat Application: Do not heat the watch screen for too long, as this may cause damage to internal components. Follow recommended heating times.
- Fragile Components: The watch's internal connectors and the Force Touch ring are delicate. Handle them with extreme care to avoid damage during separation and reassembly.
- Glass Fragments: Be cautious when handling broken glass. Use tweezers to remove tiny fragments and protect your eyes.
- Adhesive Handling: Use adhesives (LOCA and B-7000) in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
- UV Lamp Safety: Do not direct the UV light towards your eyes.
- Professional Assistance: If you lack experience with small electronics repair, consider seeking professional assistance to avoid further damage to your device.
4. Installation Guide
The following steps detail the process for replacing the front screen and touch digitizer. It is highly recommended to watch the accompanying video tutorial for visual guidance.

Step 1: Preparation and Power Off
Unload the watchband. Ensure the LED screen is functioning normally before proceeding. Then, turn off the power of the Apple Watch completely.
Step 2: Heating the Watch Screen
Using a hair dryer, heat the periphery of the watch for approximately 10-15 minutes. This step aims to soften the adhesive and separate the screen in a safe manner. Note: Do not heat for too long, as this could damage the screen or internal components.
Step 3: Cleaning and Initial Separation
Carefully use tweezers to clean any tiny glass fragments from the screen. Then, use a plastic pry plate and a suction cup (sucker) to gently separate the screen from the body of the Apple Watch. Be aware that there is a Digitizer Force Touch Sensor between the watch body and the screen. Exercise extreme caution to avoid any damage. There are also connecting lines between the watch body and the screen.
Step 4: Disconnecting Cables
Apply a drop of alcohol right on top of each connecting line's binder. The alcohol will dissolve the adhesive, allowing the tape to peel back more easily. Once the binder on all three connectors is stripped, take out the clip on top and then unlock the corresponding cable. Note: The latch is quite fragile and requires cautious operation. Alcohol is self-provided.
Step 5: Digitizer Separation
Use a hair dryer to heat the stripped screen for 5-7 minutes. Separate the digitizer connector from the LCD screen. Carefully twine the molybdenum alloy lines on the two circular columns, positioning the wire directly beneath the glass layer of the Apple Watch screen but above the Digitizer Force Touch Sensor. The molybdenum alloy lines should be used to cut between the outer glassy layer of the screen and the Digitizer Force Touch Sensor.
Step 6: Cleaning the Sensor
Using a clean and soft cloth, carefully remove any residual binder from the Digitizer Force Touch Sensor. After cleaning, test the digital converter for normal operation to ensure it is still functional.
Step 7: Applying LOCA and New Glass
Clean the surface of the Digitizer Force Touch Sensor from any dust and fingerprints. Drop the Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive (LOCA) from the yellow bottle onto the Digitizer Force Touch Sensor. This adhesive will bond the new glass screen firmly with the display. Carefully place the new glass screen onto the watch. Ensure that no bubbles exist beneath the glass. If bubbles appear during binding, gently press and push the bubbles towards the margin of the glass to remove them.

Step 8: Curing the Adhesive
Illuminate the bottom of the screen with a lamp to ensure a good combination of the cover and the Digitizer Force Touch Sensor. Then, illuminate the entire screen with the provided portable UV LED dryer lamp for 3-5 minutes to harden the glue. After this process, the glass will be firmly bonded to the display.

Step 9: Reconnecting and Testing
Carefully put back the three ribbons into their corresponding latches. Align the connector of the cables at the back of the screen with the slots on the mainboard. Lock the fragile connectors of the cables securely in place. After reassembly, test the watch to ensure normal operation and good touch sensitivity. In case of a display failure or abnormal touch sensitivity, double-check that the three ribbons are correctly put back in their corresponding latches and the cable connectors are properly aligned with the slots on the mainboard.
Step 10: Final Assembly and Sealing
Assemble the rest of the parts back to their original positions. Blue 3M tape is required to bind the screen and the watch body securely. UV glue is also available as an alternative for sealing. Ensure all connections are firm and the screen is flush with the watch body.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your repaired Apple Watch screen:
- Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Clean the screen regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While the original watch may be water-resistant, performing a screen replacement can compromise its water resistance. Exercise caution around water after the repair.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues after installation, consider the following:
- No Display or Abnormal Touch: Ensure all three ribbon cables are securely connected and properly aligned with the mainboard slots. The latches must be fully closed.
- Bubbles Under Screen: If bubbles are present after curing, it may indicate insufficient pressure during application or incomplete curing. Try to gently push bubbles to the edge before the adhesive fully hardens.
- Adhesive Not Curing: Ensure the UV lamp is functioning correctly and was applied for the recommended duration (3-5 minutes) over the entire screen surface.
- Screen Not Fitting Flush: Check for any debris or excess adhesive around the edges of the watch frame or the new screen.
