Operating Instructions

1. Applying Torque

  1. With the insert tool attached and the desired torque value set, position the wrench on the fastener.
  2. Apply steady, even force to the handle in the tightening direction.
  3. As the target torque is approached, the display will provide visual feedback (e.g., green for within tolerance, red for over-torque).
  4. When the target torque is reached, the electromechanical release will trigger, providing a distinct tactile signal and an audible click. Stop applying force immediately upon this signal.

2. Automatic Compensation

The 730D MANOSKOP features automatic compensation for accurate tightening torque, even when using different extensions. This ensures that the applied torque remains consistent regardless of the length of the extension used with the insert tool. Ensure that the wrench is correctly configured for any extensions in use, as per the on-screen prompts or specific instructions for your insert tools.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, wipe the wrench clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the display or handle materials. The two-component handle is resistant to oils, grease, fuels, brake fluids, and Skydrol.
  • Storage: Store the torque wrench in its protective case (if provided) or a clean, dry environment. Avoid storing it under tension or with an insert tool attached for extended periods.
  • Calibration: Torque wrenches require periodic calibration to maintain accuracy. Refer to the included calibration certificate for recommended calibration intervals. Stahlwille recommends professional recalibration services.
  • Battery Replacement: If the display indicates low battery, replace the batteries according to the instructions provided in the full product manual or on the device itself.
