Installation Guide

Before installation, ensure your door meets the specified thickness requirements (1 3/8" to 2 3/16" or 35mm-55mm). The lock is designed to replace most standard US wooden door levers or knobs.

Tools Required:

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Measuring Tape
  • Pencil

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Door: If replacing an existing lock, remove it. Ensure the door bore hole and backset are standard.
  2. Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws. Ensure the latch bolt faces the correct direction for your door swing.
  3. Install the Exterior Assembly: Feed the cable and spindle through the latch. Align the exterior panel with the door and latch.
  4. Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the interior mounting plate to the exterior assembly using screws.
  5. Connect Cables and Install Interior Assembly: Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly. Carefully tuck excess cable into the door. Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate, ensuring the spindle engages properly. Secure with screws.
  6. Install Batteries: Open the battery cover on the interior assembly and insert 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included). Close the cover.
  7. Test the Lock: After installation, test the handle operation and ensure the latch retracts smoothly.

The Harfo Fingerprint Door Lock offers multiple ways to unlock and manage access.

Unlocking Methods:

  • Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
  • Passcode: Enter your registered passcode on the keypad, followed by the '#' key.
  • IC Card: Tap a registered IC card against the card reader area on the lock.
  • Backup Keys: In case of emergency or battery depletion, use the physical backup keys provided to unlock the door. The keyhole is discreetly located.
  • APP Control: Use the TTLock app on your smartphone to unlock the door via Bluetooth. For remote Wi-Fi unlocking, a Harfo Wi-Fi Gateway (sold separately) is required.

TTLock App Control:

The TTLock app is essential for managing your Harfo Fingerprint Door Lock. Download it from your smartphone's app store.

  1. Pairing: Follow the in-app instructions to pair your lock via Bluetooth. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range of the lock.
  2. User Management: Add, modify, or delete fingerprints, passcodes, and IC cards for various users. You can assign temporary or permanent access.

Voice Control (Alexa & Google Assistant):

To enable voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, you must pair your Harfo Fingerprint Door Lock with a Harfo Wi-Fi Gateway (sold separately).

  1. Gateway Setup: Follow the instructions provided with your Harfo Wi-Fi Gateway to set it up and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network.
  2. Link with Voice Assistant: In the TTLock app, link your account with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Enable the "TTLock" skill/action in your voice assistant app.
  3. Voice Commands: Once linked, you can use voice commands such as "Alexa, unlock my front door" (you may need to provide a voice code for security).

Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

The Harfo Fingerprint Door Lock requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included). When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an audible warning. It is recommended to replace all four batteries simultaneously with new, high-quality alkaline batteries.

  • Open the battery cover on the interior side of the lock.
  • Remove the old batteries.
  • Insert new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  • Close the battery cover securely.

If the batteries are completely depleted, you can use the backup physical keys or connect a power bank to the emergency USB port on the exterior panel for temporary power to unlock the door.
