6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter. For more complex problems, please refer to the ASRock support website or contact technical support.

  • No Power: Ensure all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU) are securely connected to the motherboard and the power supply is switched on. Verify the power supply is functional.
  • No Display: Check that your monitor is correctly connected to the motherboard's display output or your discrete graphics card. Ensure the graphics card is properly seated in its PCIe slot. Try using a different display output or monitor.
  • System Fails to Boot: Verify that the CPU, RAM, and all essential components are correctly installed. Check the boot order in the BIOS/UEFI settings. If the system does not POST (Power-On Self-Test), ensure the CPU and RAM are compatible and correctly seated.
  • Overheating: Ensure all fans (CPU cooler, chassis fans) are functioning correctly and that there is adequate airflow within the chassis. Clean any dust buildup.
  • BIOS Issues: If you encounter issues after changing BIOS settings, you may need to clear the CMOS. Refer to the motherboard's detailed manual for instructions on clearing the CMOS, typically involving a jumper or removing the CMOS battery.
