1. Introduction

This device is designed to provide comprehensive video evidence of your journeys, featuring dual 1080P Full HD cameras for simultaneous front and interior recording. Equipped with advanced features like IR night vision, G-sensor for emergency locking, loop recording, and parking monitoring, it ensures reliable surveillance for your vehicle. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new dash cam.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your dash cam:

1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a location on your windshield that does not obstruct your driving view. The area behind the rearview mirror is often ideal.
2. Clean Windshield: Ensure the chosen area on the windshield is clean and dry for optimal adhesion of the suction cup or adhesive mount.
3. Attach Mount:
   • Suction Cup Mount: Press the suction cup firmly against the windshield and flip the lever to secure it.
   • Adhesive Mount: Peel off the protective film from the adhesive pad and firmly press the mount onto the windshield for at least 30 seconds. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before attaching the dash cam.
4. Insert SD Card: The dash cam comes with a pre-installed 64GB Micro SD card. If you need to re-insert or replace it, ensure the card is inserted correctly into the SD card slot until it clicks into place.
5. Attach Dash Cam: Slide the dash cam onto the chosen mount until it locks securely.
6. Connect Power: Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Connect the Mini USB cable from the car charger to the dash cam's power input port. Route the cable neatly along the windshield edge and dashboard using the provided cable clips and plastic crowbar to hide it.
7. Adjust Lens Angle: Once powered on, adjust the front and interior camera lenses to ensure they capture the desired view. The front lens should cover the road ahead, and the interior lens should cover the cabin.

4. Operating Instructions

The LAMTTO Dual Dash Cam is designed for ease of use. Here are the basic operating procedures:

4.1 Power On/Off

• Automatic Operation: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's engine starts (and the cigarette lighter socket receives power). It will automatically power off when the engine is turned off.
• Manual Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds to manually turn the device on or off.

4.2 Recording Modes

• Normal Recording: When powered on, the dash cam continuously records video from both front and interior cameras.
• Loop Recording: The dash cam records video in continuous loops (e.g., 1, 3, or 5-minute segments). When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked footage will be automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings.
• Emergency Recording (G-Sensor): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will automatically detect the event and lock the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These locked files are stored in a separate folder.
• Parking Monitoring: With this feature enabled, the dash cam will automatically power on and record a short video clip if it detects a collision or vibration while your vehicle is parked. This requires a continuous power supply (e.g., hardwire kit, not included).

4.3 Screensaver

The dash cam supports a screensaver function. You can set the screen to turn off automatically after a set period (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes) while recording continues in the background. This helps reduce distraction while driving.

5.3 Wide-Angle Field of View

• Dash Cam does not power on:
  • Ensure the car charger is securely plugged into both the dash cam and the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
  • Check if the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket is receiving power (some vehicles require the ignition to be on).
  • Try a different power source or cable if available.
• Recording stops or freezes:
  • Ensure the 64GB SD card is properly inserted and not full of locked files. Format the SD card regularly (every 2-4 weeks) to maintain optimal performance.
  • Use the provided U3 64GB Micro SD card. Using incompatible or lower-speed cards can cause recording issues.
  • Check for firmware updates (if available, refer to manufacturer's website).
• Video quality is poor at night:
  • Ensure the windshield and camera lenses are clean.
  • Verify that the IR lights on the interior camera are not obstructed.
• G-sensor is too sensitive/not sensitive enough:
  • Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity setting in the dash cam's menu.
• Important Note: This dash cam does NOT support WiFi, GPS, Wireless connectivity, APP control, or Bluetooth. These features are not included in this model.
