Product Overview

Main Unit

The Sena Spider ST1 features a compact design with a jog-dial for intuitive control.

• Jog Dial: Rotates and presses for various functions (volume, track skip, menu navigation).
• Phone Button: Used for call functions, voice assistant, and entering pairing mode.
• LED Indicator: Displays device status (power, charging, pairing).
• USB-C Port: For charging and firmware updates.
• Speaker/Microphone Ports: Connects the speakers and microphones.

Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the Spider ST1.

1. Connect the USB-C cable to the device's USB-C port.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB wall charger or computer USB port.
3. The LED indicator will turn red while charging and blue when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

2. Installation on Helmet

The Spider ST1 can be mounted using the clamp kit.

1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a flat surface on the left side of your helmet.
2. Attach Clamp Unit: Loosen the screws on the clamp unit and slide it between the helmet shell and the inner padding. Tighten the screws securely.
3. Mount Main Unit: Slide the main unit onto the clamp unit until it clicks into place.
4. Install Speakers: Place the speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets using the hook and loop fasteners. Ensure they are aligned with your ears for optimal audio.
5. Install Microphone:
   • Boom Microphone: For open-face or modular helmets. Attach to the inside of the helmet near your mouth using the hook and loop fastener.
   • Wired Microphone: For full-face helmets. Attach to the inside of the chin bar using the hook and loop fastener.
6. Connect Cables: Route the speaker and microphone cables neatly inside the helmet padding and connect them to the main unit's ports.

Operating the Device

Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Jog Dial and Phone Button for 1 second.
• Power Off: Tap the Jog Dial and Phone Button simultaneously.

Volume Control

• Increase Volume: Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise.
• Decrease Volume: Rotate the Jog Dial counter-clockwise.

Smartphone Pairing

Pair your Spider ST1 with your smartphone to enjoy music, GPS navigation, and phone calls.

1. With the Spider ST1 powered off, press and hold the Phone Button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue alternately.
2. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Sena Spider ST1" from the list of available devices.
3. Once paired, the LED will flash blue.

Mesh Intercom

The Spider ST1 utilizes Sena's Mesh Intercom technology for group communication.

• Mesh Intercom On/Off: Press the Jog Dial for 1 second.
• Group Mesh: Create a private group with up to 24 participants.
  1. Enter Group Mesh Creation: Press and hold the Jog Dial for 5 seconds.
  2. Invite Participants: Have other Spider ST1 users enter Group Mesh Creation mode. They will automatically join the group.
• Open Mesh: Communicate with any Sena Mesh user within range. Simply turn on Mesh Intercom.

Music Control

• Play/Pause: Press the Jog Dial.
• Next Track: Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise and hold for 1 second.
• Previous Track: Rotate the Jog Dial counter-clockwise and hold for 1 second.

Phone Calls

• Answer Call: Tap the Phone Button.
• End Call: Tap the Phone Button.
• Reject Call: Press and hold the Phone Button for 2 seconds.
• Voice Dial: Press and hold the Phone Button for 3 seconds (if supported by your smartphone).

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Sena Spider ST1.

• Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
