Setup
Before connecting your Redodo LiFePO4 battery, ensure all components are present and undamaged. Proper setup is crucial for safety and performance.
Initial Inspection
- Inspect the battery for any physical damage.
- Verify that the terminal bolts and insulating caps are included.
Connection Guidelines
- Always use appropriate M8 terminal bolts and ensure connections are secure.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal to the positive load/charger and the negative (-) terminal to the negative load/charger.
- For multiple batteries, ensure they are of the same voltage and capacity. Refer to the "Operating" section for series and parallel connection diagrams.
- Use properly sized cables to handle the maximum current draw.
Charging
- Use a LiFePO4 compatible charger with a charging voltage of 29.2V.
- Ensure the charger's current output is suitable for the battery's capacity.
- The battery can be charged via dedicated LiFePO4 chargers, solar panels with MPPT controllers, generators with AC-DC chargers, or alternators with DC-DC chargers.
Operating
The Redodo 24V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery is versatile and can be used in various applications, including RVs, marine systems, trolling motors, and solar off-grid systems.
Single Battery Operation
For single battery use, simply connect your load or inverter directly to the battery terminals, ensuring correct polarity.
Series and Parallel Connections
This battery supports expansion up to 4P2S (4 parallel, 2 series) for a maximum energy of 20.48kWh. This allows for higher voltage (e.g., 48V or 51.2V) and increased capacity.

- Parallel Connection (P): Connect positive to positive and negative to negative terminals to increase capacity (Ah) while maintaining the same voltage (V).
- Series Connection (S): Connect the positive terminal of one battery to the negative terminal of the next to increase voltage (V) while maintaining the same capacity (Ah).
- Always ensure all batteries in a series or parallel bank are fully charged and balanced before connecting them.
- Consult a qualified electrician or refer to detailed wiring diagrams for complex multi-battery systems.
Recommended Applications
- RV and Marine: Ideal for powering onboard electronics, appliances, and trolling motors (recommended for 24V trolling motors up to 100lbs thrust).
- Solar Off-Grid Systems: Excellent for energy storage in residential or remote solar installations.
- Backup Power: Reliable solution for home or commercial backup power needs.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your LiFePO4 battery.
- Regular Charging: While LiFePO4 batteries do not suffer from memory effect, it is good practice to keep them adequately charged. Avoid prolonged storage in a fully discharged state.
- Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% state of charge and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Terminal Inspection: Periodically check terminal connections for tightness and corrosion. Clean as necessary.
- Temperature: Operate and store the battery within its specified temperature ranges to prevent damage and ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshooting
The built-in Battery Management System (BMS) protects the battery from various issues. If you encounter problems, consider the following:
- No Power Output:
- Check terminal connections for looseness or corrosion.
- Verify the battery's state of charge. If deeply discharged, the BMS might have activated low-voltage protection. Connect to a compatible charger.
- Ensure the load does not exceed the battery's maximum continuous discharge current (100A) or peak power (2560W). The BMS may have activated over-current protection.
- Battery Not Charging:
- Confirm the charger is LiFePO4 compatible and outputs the correct voltage (29.2V).
- Check charger connections and power supply.
- The BMS might have activated over-voltage or high-temperature protection. Allow the battery to cool down if it's hot.
- Unusual Odor or Swelling:
Immediately disconnect the battery from all loads and chargers. Contact Redodo customer support. Do not attempt to use or charge the battery.
For persistent issues or complex problems, please contact Redodo customer support.
