Setup

1. Charging the Mouse

The AW720M features magnetic snap-on charging for convenience. Connect the magnetic charging adapter to the front of the mouse and plug the USB-A to USB-C cable into a powered USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter. The mouse can be used while charging.

2. Connectivity Options

The AW720M supports three modes of connection:

  • 2.4GHz Wireless: For a smooth, wired-like performance, use the included USB-C wireless dongle. For optimal signal reception, utilize the dongle extender. This mode offers a 1000Hz wireless polling rate.
  • Bluetooth 5.1: Connect wirelessly via Bluetooth for compatibility with various devices, including mobile devices. Ensure your device supports Bluetooth 4.0 or above.
  • Wired USB-C: Connect the mouse directly to your computer using the USB-C cable for a stable wired connection and simultaneous charging.

3. Initial Connection

  1. For 2.4GHz Wireless:
    • Insert the USB-C wireless dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
    • (Optional) Connect the dongle to the extender and then plug the extender into a USB port for improved signal.
    • Slide the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "2.4G" position.
    • The mouse should automatically connect.
  2. For Bluetooth:
    • Slide the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "Bluetooth" position.
    • On your computer or device, navigate to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
    • Select "Alienware AW720M" from the list of available devices to pair.
  3. For Wired Connection:
    • Connect the USB-C cable to the mouse and the other end to a USB port on your computer.
    • The mouse will function as a wired mouse and charge simultaneously.

2. Programmable Buttons
