2. Safety Instructions
To prevent personal injury or property damage, please observe the following safety precautions:
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the voltage specified on the appliance (220-240V). The cooktop comes with a pre-installed VDE plug suitable for European households. Do not use extension cords or adapters.
- Placement: Place the cooktop on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance. Do not place it near flammable materials.
- Hot Surface: The ceramic surface and surrounding areas will become hot during and after use. Allow sufficient time for the cooktop to cool down before touching. Use oven mitts or pot holders.
- Cookware: Use only flat-bottomed cookware. Ensure the cookware size is appropriate for the heating zone.
- Supervision: Never leave the cooktop unattended while in use. Keep children and pets away from the appliance.
- Cleaning: Always unplug the cooktop and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

4. Setup and Installation
Your Karinear cooktop offers two installation options:
4.1 Countertop Use
For countertop use, simply place the cooktop on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the appliance for ventilation (at least 10 cm on all sides).

4.2 Built-in Installation
If you prefer a built-in installation to save space, follow these steps:
- Measure the cutout dimensions required for installation. The recommended cutout dimensions are approximately 485mm (19.1 in) x 275mm (10.82 in).
- Carefully cut an opening in your countertop according to the measured dimensions.
- Place the cooktop into the cutout. Ensure it fits securely and is level with the countertop surface.
- Connect the pre-installed VDE plug to a suitable 220-240V power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
Operating your Karinear cooktop is straightforward with its intuitive knob controls:
5.1 Powering On and Off
- Plug the cooktop into a compatible 220-240V power outlet.
- To turn on a heating zone, rotate the corresponding knob clockwise from the "OFF" position.
- To turn off a heating zone, rotate the knob counter-clockwise back to the "OFF" position.

5.2 Adjusting Power Levels
Each heating zone offers 16 power levels, providing precise control for various cooking methods:
- Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the power level, from MIN to MAX.
- Rotate the knob counter-clockwise to decrease the power level.
- The indicator light will show when the burner is active.
Both burners can operate simultaneously, significantly reducing cooking time.
5.3 Compatible Cookware
The ceramic heating elements are compatible with all types of flat-bottomed cookware, regardless of material. This includes stainless steel, cast iron, ceramic, glass, and aluminum pots and pans.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your cooktop:
- Always unplug the cooktop and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Ceramic Surface: Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a ceramic cooktop cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can scratch the surface.
- Stainless Steel Casing: Clean the stainless steel parts with a soft, damp cloth. For best results, dry immediately to prevent water spots.
- Do not immerse the cooktop in water.
- Ensure no liquid enters the control panel area.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your cooktop, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
