4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Units

Baby Unit: Connect the included jack cable to the Baby Unit and plug it into a power outlet. Alternatively, for portable use, insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. The unit will function on mains power when connected, even with batteries inserted.

Parent Unit: Connect the included jack cable to the Parent Unit and plug it into a power outlet to charge the integrated rechargeable lithium battery. The Parent Unit can operate on battery power once charged, providing up to 12 hours of autonomy.

  • Place the Baby Unit in your baby's room, ensuring it is at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from the crib to prevent any cord entanglement hazards. Position it on a flat, stable surface where it can clearly pick up sounds from the crib.
  • Place the Parent Unit with you in another room. Ensure it is within the operational range of 500 meters (in open field conditions) for optimal signal reception.
  • Avoid placing units near other electronic devices that may cause interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones).

4.3 Initial Connection

Once both units are powered on, they will automatically search for and connect to each other. A successful connection is typically indicated by a steady light on both units and clear audio transmission.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press and hold the power button on each unit to turn them on or off.

5.2 Sleep Technology (VOX Mode)

The Sleep Technology (VOX mode) is an energy-saving feature that minimizes electromagnetic wave emissions. When activated, the monitor remains silent and only transmits sound and alerts you when your baby makes noise.

  • Activate or deactivate VOX mode from the Baby Unit. Refer to the unit's controls for the specific button.
  • When VOX mode is active, the Parent Unit will only activate its audio and visual alerts upon detecting sound from the Baby Unit.
  • To ensure proper VOX activation, avoid setting the microphone sensitivity to its maximum level, as this may cause constant activation.

5.3 Two-Way Talk Function

Communicate with your baby directly from the Parent Unit:

  • Press and hold the "Talk" button on the Parent Unit.
  • Speak clearly into the microphone on the Parent Unit. Your voice will be transmitted to the Baby Unit.
  • Release the button to resume listening to your baby.

5.4 Night Light

The Baby Unit includes an integrated moon-shaped night light that emits a soft, soothing glow. This can be activated or deactivated directly on the Baby Unit.

5.5 Volume and Sensitivity Adjustment

  • Volume: Use the volume buttons on the Parent Unit to adjust the listening level.
  • Microphone Sensitivity: Adjust the microphone sensitivity on the Parent Unit to control how easily the Baby Unit picks up sounds. Lower sensitivity means only louder sounds will activate the monitor, while higher sensitivity will pick up softer sounds.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the units with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, fully charge the Parent Unit before first use. Avoid completely draining the battery frequently. If storing the unit for an extended period, charge it periodically.
  • Storage: Store the units in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
