Important Safeguards

Before First Use

Before using your new kettle, it is recommended to clean it thoroughly.

1. Remove all packaging materials and labels.
2. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the maximum fill line.
3. Boil the water (refer to 'Operating Instructions').
4. Discard the boiled water.
5. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the kettle is clean and free from any manufacturing residues.
6. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to safely operate your AGARO Royal Kettle.

1. Place the Base: Position the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
2. Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of water. Ensure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks. Do not overfill or underfill.
3. Close the Lid: Securely close the lid.
4. Place on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
5. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220V-240V AC, 50 Hz).
6. Turn On: Press the power switch located on the handle downwards. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.

7. Automatic Shut-off: The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled, and the indicator light will extinguish.
8. Pour Water: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Use the cool-touch handle.
9. Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil, wait a few seconds for the thermostat to reset, then press the power switch again.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle.

Exterior Cleaning:

• Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the finish.
• Ensure the power base and electrical connections remain dry.

Interior Cleaning (Descaling):

Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descale regularly to maintain efficiency.

1. Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
2. Boil the mixture.
3. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer if the scale is heavy.
4. Pour out the mixture and rinse the interior thoroughly with fresh water several times.
5. For stubborn deposits, a non-abrasive descaling solution designed for kettles can be used following the product's instructions.
6. Alternatively, you can use citric acid: add 1 tablespoon of citric acid to 1.5 liters of water, boil, and let stand for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your kettle, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Kettle does not heat:
  • Ensure the kettle is properly seated on the power base.
  • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the wall outlet.
  • Verify that the power switch is pressed down and the indicator light is on.
  • Check the power outlet by plugging in another appliance.
• Kettle switches off before boiling:
  • This may indicate limescale buildup. Descale the kettle as described in the 'Cleaning and Maintenance' section.
  • Ensure the lid is fully closed.
• Water tastes metallic or unusual:
  • Perform the 'Before First Use' cleaning steps again, boiling and discarding water multiple times.
  • Ensure the kettle is regularly descaled.
• Steam escaping from areas other than the spout:
  • Check that the lid is securely closed and properly seated.
  • Do not overfill the kettle beyond the MAX line.
