4.1. Group 0+ (0-18 kg) - Rear-Facing Installation

For newborns and infants up to 18 kg (approximately 4 years), the car seat must be installed in a rear-facing position. Use the removable newborn reducer for optimal comfort and safety for smaller infants.

  1. Place the car seat on the vehicle's rear seat, ensuring it is stable.
  2. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated blue guides on the car seat.
  3. Fasten the vehicle's seat belt securely, ensuring it is tight and the car seat does not move more than 2.5 cm (1 inch) in any direction.
  4. Place the child in the seat and secure them with the 5-point harness. Adjust the harness straps so they are snug against the child's body, with the chest clip at armpit level.
  5. Ensure the recline position is appropriate for a newborn, typically the most reclined position.

  1. Position the car seat on the vehicle's rear seat, facing forward.
  2. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated red guides on the car seat.

Group 2/3 (15-36 kg) - Forward-Facing with Vehicle's 3-Point Seat Belt

For older children (15-36 kg), the car seat's 5-point harness must be removed. The child is then secured directly by the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

  1. Remove the 5-point harness system from the car seat according to the instructions provided in the separate harness removal guide (if applicable, or refer to the car seat's labels).
  2. Position the car seat on the vehicle's rear seat, facing forward.
  3. Place the child in the car seat.
  4. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated red guides on the car seat and over the child's shoulder and lap.
  5. Fasten the vehicle's seat belt securely, ensuring the lap belt is low across the child's hips and the shoulder belt rests across the center of the child's shoulder and chest.

  1. To recline the seat, locate the recline adjustment lever.

5.2. Harness and Headrest Adjustment

The 5-point harness and headrest can be adjusted to fit your growing child.

  1. Harness Height: Ensure the shoulder straps are at or just below the child's shoulders when rear-facing, and at or just above the child's shoulders when forward-facing. Adjust the harness height by repositioning the straps through the slots in the seat back.
  2. Harness Tightness: Press the harness release button (usually located at the front of the seat) and pull the shoulder straps to loosen. To tighten, pull the adjustment strap at the bottom front of the seat until the harness is snug.
  3. Headrest Height: The headrest is adjustable to provide optimal head and neck support. Locate the adjustment lever (often at the top back of the headrest) and raise or lower the headrest to the appropriate height for your child.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning the Car Seat

  • The fabric cover is removable and washable. Refer to the care label on the cover for specific washing instructions (typically machine wash on a delicate cycle with cold water).
  • Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners on any part of the car seat.
  • Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or using the car seat.
  • Do not lubricate any parts of the car seat.

6.2. Storage

When not in use, store the car seat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Car seat feels loose after installation: Ensure the vehicle's seat belt is pulled as tight as possible. Re-route the belt if necessary, following the color-coded guides. Apply pressure to the car seat while tightening the belt.
  • Harness straps are difficult to adjust: Check for any twists in the harness straps behind the seat. Ensure the harness release button is fully pressed when loosening.
  • Child's head slumps forward (Group 0+): Ensure the seat is in the most reclined position suitable for newborns. Verify the newborn reducer is correctly installed.
  • Buckle is difficult to fasten/unfasten: Ensure no debris is obstructing the buckle mechanism. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
