Product Overview
The Midea Smart 50 Pint Dehumidifier with Pump is designed to efficiently remove moisture from areas up to 4,500 Sq. Ft. It is capable of removing 50 pints of moisture per day, making it ideal for basements, large and medium-sized rooms, and crawlspaces. This unit helps maintain a healthy humidity range of 45%-55%.
Equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, the dehumidifier can be controlled remotely using the MSmartHome app on iOS or Android devices. Voice commands are also supported via Alexa or Google Assistant for convenient operation.
Its ultra-quiet operation, at just 47 dBA, ensures minimal disturbance, allowing for comfortable use in living spaces. The unit features a sturdy four-wheel design and integrated handles for easy portability between rooms. A digital control panel provides intuitive access to all settings.
For continuous operation, the dehumidifier includes a built-in pump and a hose, enabling automatic water removal to a sink drain or window, eliminating the need for manual bucket emptying. The 1.6-gallon water bucket is also available for manual drainage.

Setup and Installation
Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
- Place the unit upright on a level surface. The 360° rotatable wheels allow for easy positioning.
- Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.

Drainage Options
- Manual Drainage (1.6 Gallon Bucket): The unit collects water in its internal bucket. When full, the unit will automatically shut off and indicate that the bucket needs emptying. Carefully remove the bucket and dispose of the collected water.
- Continuous Drainage (Built-in Pump): For uninterrupted operation, connect the included drain hose to the continuous drain port on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a suitable drain, such as a sink or floor drain. The built-in pump will automatically remove collected water.

Wi-Fi Setup (Smart Control)
Download the MSmartHome app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Follow the in-app instructions to connect your dehumidifier to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables remote control and voice command functionality via Alexa or Google Assistant.
Operating Instructions
Control Panel Overview
The digital control panel on top of the unit provides access to all functions. The display shows the current humidity level or timer settings.

Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
- Setting Desired Humidity: Use the + or - buttons to adjust the target humidity level between 35% and 85%. The unit will operate until the desired humidity is reached.
- Modes:
- Comfort Mode: Automatically sets the humidity to 50% for optimal comfort.
- Continuous Mode: The unit will run continuously regardless of the humidity level.
- Turbo Mode: Increases fan speed for maximum moisture removal.
- Timer Function: Set a timer for the unit to turn on or off after a specified number of hours (0 to 24 hours).
Maintenance
Emptying the Water Bucket
If not using continuous drainage, the 1.6-gallon water bucket will need to be emptied periodically. The "Full" indicator light on the control panel will illuminate when the bucket is full, and the unit will stop operating. Carefully slide out the bucket, empty the water, and reinsert it securely to resume operation.

Cleaning the Washable Filter
The dehumidifier is equipped with a washable air filter to maintain efficiency. A "Filter" indicator light will remind you when it's time to clean the filter (approximately every 250 hours of operation). To clean:
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Locate and remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Press and hold the "Filter" button for 3 seconds to reset the filter reminder.
Automatic Defrost
The unit features an automatic defrost function. If frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the compressor will temporarily turn off, and the fan will continue to run until the frost melts. The "Defrost" indicator light will illuminate during this process.
