This compact and versatile device is designed to provide accurate timekeeping, dual alarm functions, temperature monitoring, and convenient backlight options, making it ideal for travel or bedside use. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper setup and operation.

4. Controls and Display

Buttons and Switches:

  • SNOOZE/LIGHT Button (Top): Press to activate the 8-second backlight or to snooze an active alarm.
  • SET Button (Settings icon): Enters setting mode for time, date, and other functions.
  • UP Button (Up arrow icon): Increases values during setting, switches temperature unit (°C/°F).
  • DOWN Button (Down arrow icon): Decreases values during setting.
  • ALARM Button (Alarm clock icon): Enters alarm setting mode.
  • Alarm 1 Switch (Left Side): Slides ON/OFF for Alarm 1.
  • Alarm 2 Switch (Right Side): Slides ON/OFF for Alarm 2.
  • Auto Light Switch (Back): Toggles the automatic nightlight feature.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
  2. Insert 2 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

5.2 Initial Power-On and Atomic Time Synchronization

Upon battery installation, the clock will automatically begin searching for the WWVB radio signal. This process can take 1-2 minutes. During this time, all buttons will be temporarily unavailable. Once successfully connected, the atomic signal icon (Atomic signal icon) will appear on the display, and the time, date, and day of the week will be set automatically.

If the atomic signal is not received, you may need to manually set the time and date. Ensure the clock is placed away from electronic devices that may cause interference.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Manual Time and Date Setting

If atomic synchronization fails or you prefer manual setting:

  1. In normal mode, press and hold the Settings icon (SET) button for 2 seconds to enter time setting mode. The digits will flash.
  2. Use the Up arrow icon (UP) or Down arrow icon (DOWN) buttons to adjust the flashing value.
  3. Press Settings icon (SET) to confirm and move to the next setting item in the following order: Atomic Clock ON/OFF → 12/24-Hour Format → Time Zone → DST ON/OFF → Hour → Minute → Year → Month → Day.
  4. Press Settings icon (SET) repeatedly until all settings are confirmed, or wait 10 seconds for the clock to automatically exit setting mode and save changes.

6.2 Alarm Setting

The clock features two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).

  1. To set Alarm 1 or Alarm 2, slide the corresponding switch (left or right side of the clock) to the ON position. The alarm time will appear on the display.
  2. Press and hold the Alarm clock icon (ALARM) button for 2 seconds. The alarm hour will flash.
  3. Use the Up arrow icon (UP) or Down arrow icon (DOWN) buttons to adjust the hour.
  4. Press Alarm clock icon (ALARM) to confirm the hour and move to the minute setting. Adjust minutes using Up arrow icon (UP) or Down arrow icon (DOWN).
  5. Press Alarm clock icon (ALARM) to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
  6. To activate/deactivate an alarm, simply slide the corresponding switch on the side of the clock to ON or OFF.

6.3 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button on top of the clock to activate the snooze function. The alarm will pause for 8 minutes and then sound again. To stop the alarm completely, slide the corresponding alarm switch to OFF.

6.4 Backlight Modes

  • Auto Light: Slide the "AUTO LIGHT" switch on the back to "ON". The display will emit a soft glow in dark environments.
  • 8-Second Backlight: If the "AUTO LIGHT" switch is "OFF", press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button on top for a brief 8-second orange backlight.

6.5 Temperature Display

The clock displays indoor temperature. To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), press and hold the Up arrow icon (UP) button for 2 seconds in normal mode.

7. Maintenance

  • Clean the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
  • Avoid exposing the clock to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Remove batteries if the clock will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Display/Faint Display: Check battery polarity and ensure batteries are fresh. Replace if necessary.
  • Atomic Time Synchronization Failure: Ensure the clock is placed away from electronic interference (e.g., TVs, computers). Try repositioning the clock near a window. If issues persist, manually set the time.
  • Alarm Not Sounding: Verify that the alarm switch on the side is fully in the "ON" position. Check that the alarm time is correctly set.
  • Backlight Too Bright/Always On: If the "AUTO LIGHT" switch is "ON", the display will glow softly in darkness. If you prefer no constant glow, set the "AUTO LIGHT" switch to "OFF" and use the SNOOZE/LIGHT button for an 8-second backlight.
  • Incorrect Time Zone/DST: During manual setup, ensure the correct time zone offset (e.g., EST is -5, CST is -6, MST is -7, PST is -8) and DST setting are selected.
