Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the accurate and safe operation of the DROK 6-in-1 AC LCD Digital Power Monitor. Please follow the wiring diagram carefully.

1. Voltage Input Connection: Connect the AC 80-300V power supply to the green terminals (Measure Voltage Input). Ensure correct polarity if specified, though for AC, it's generally less critical for measurement.
2. Current Transformer (CT) Connection:
   • Thread the wire of the testing circuit (the load) through the hole of the Current Transformer (CT).
   • Connect the blue wires from the CT to the blue terminals (Current Transformer Input).

   Caution: It will damage the instruments if the voltage input wires and CT wires are connected incorrectly. Always ensure power is off before making any connections.

3. Mounting: The meter is designed for panel mounting. Refer to the dimensions for appropriate cutout size.

Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and powered on, the DROK 6-in-1 AC LCD Digital Power Monitor will automatically display the measured parameters on its colorful LCD screen.

• Reading the Display: The screen is divided to clearly show each of the six parameters. Values are updated in real-time.
• Electrical Energy (kWh) Reset: To reset the accumulated electrical energy data, locate the small button on the front panel of the meter (typically on the right side, as shown in Figure 4). Press and hold this button for approximately 5 seconds until the kWh reading resets to zero. This function allows for monitoring energy consumption over specific periods.

• Automatic Data Storage: The electrical energy data (kWh) is automatically saved and retained even if the power supply to the meter is interrupted. This ensures that energy consumption data is not lost during power outages.

Maintenance and Safety

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your DROK power monitor, please observe the following guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display and casing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Operating Environment:
  • Temperature: -10°C to +50°C
  • Humidity: 10% to 80% (non-condensing)
  • Pressure: 80 to 106kPa
  • Avoid direct exposure to sunlight or extreme temperatures.
• Power Source Compatibility: This meter is strictly designed for use with pure AC city power (50-60Hz). Connecting it to square wave, inverter output, or modified sine wave circuits will cause irreversible damage and void the warranty.
• Electrical Safety: All wiring and installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations. Ensure power is disconnected before any installation or maintenance.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DROK 6-in-1 AC LCD Digital Power Monitor, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• No Display/Power:
  • Check all power connections to ensure they are secure and correctly wired to the voltage input terminals.
  • Verify that the input voltage is within the specified range of AC 80.0-300.0V.
• Incorrect Current Reading:
  • Ensure the wire of the circuit being measured is correctly threaded through the Current Transformer (CT).
  • Verify that the CT wires are securely connected to the blue terminals on the meter.
• Inaccurate Readings:
  • Confirm that the power source is pure AC city power (50-60Hz). Using the meter with square wave, inverter output, or modified sine wave sources will result in inaccurate readings and potential damage.
  • Check for loose connections that might affect measurement accuracy.
• Electrical Energy (kWh) Not Resetting:
  • Ensure you are pressing and holding the reset button for the required duration (approximately 5 seconds).
