1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read this entire instruction manual before using your TRUSTECH KPT-1608F Tower Space Heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock, injury, or property damage. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles when moving this heater.
• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
• Always unplug heater when not in use.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
• Do not use outdoors.
• This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
• Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord.
• The heater includes an Overheat Protection feature that automatically shuts off the unit if internal components reach a high temperature. If this occurs, unplug the heater, allow it to cool, and then plug it back in.
• The heater is equipped with a Tip-Over Protection switch that automatically turns off the unit if it is tilted or knocked over. Ensure the heater is placed on a flat, stable surface to prevent accidental tip-overs.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your heater:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for off-season storage.
2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from walls, furniture, and other objects. Do not place it on soft surfaces like rugs or carpets that might block the air intake.
3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz grounded wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

4. Operating Instructions

The heater can be operated using the touch control panel on the top of the unit or the included remote control.

• Power Button (Power Symbol): Turns the heater ON or OFF.
• Mode Button (Fan/Heat Symbol): Cycles through High Heat (1500W), Low Heat (1000W), and Fan Only modes.
• Oscillation Button (Arrows Circle Symbol): Activates or deactivates the 90° oscillation function.
• Timer Button (Clock Symbol): Sets the auto-off timer from 1 to 12 hours.
• Temperature Up/Down Buttons (+/- Symbols): Adjusts the desired temperature setting.
• 3D Flame Button (Flame Symbol): Turns the 3D flame effect ON or OFF.

Basic Operation:

1. Power On: Press the Power Button. The heater will start in the last used mode or default to a heating mode.
2. Select Mode: Press the Mode Button to cycle through High Heat, Low Heat, and Fan Only. The display will indicate the current mode.
3. Set Temperature: In heating modes, use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set your desired temperature between 50°F and 95°F. The heater will automatically adjust its operation to maintain this temperature.
4. Activate Oscillation: Press the Oscillation Button to enable the 90° widespread heat distribution. Press again to stop oscillation.
5. Set Timer: Press the Timer Button to set an auto-off timer from 1 to 12 hours. Each press increases the timer by one hour. The heater will automatically turn off after the set time.
6. 3D Flame Effect: Press the 3D Flame Button to turn the realistic flame effect on or off. This can be operated independently of the heating function.
7. Power Off: Press the Power Button again to turn off the heater. The fan may continue to run for a short period to cool down the heating element.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

Cleaning:

1. Always unplug the heater from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Do not immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater, as this could create an electric shock hazard.
4. Clean the air intake and exhaust vents regularly with a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush to remove dust and lint.

Storage:

When storing the heater, keep it in a cool, dry location. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
