3. Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and place the beer dispenser on a clean, stable, and level surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation.
- Assemble Drip Tray: Place the removable drip tray onto the base of the unit.
- Install Tap Handle: Attach the stainless steel tap handle to the dispensing mechanism.
- Prepare the Keg:
- The BW1688 is compatible with universal 5L and 6L pressurized kegs, as well as 6L non-pressurized kegs.
- For 5L kegs, use the provided 5L keg adapter and beer tube.
- For 6L kegs, ensure the correct adapter and tube are used as per the keg manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Not all 5L kegs are compatible; only those with their own integrated pressure system are suitable. Standard 5L party kegs without an internal pressure system are not compatible.
- Insert Keg: Open the top cover of the dispenser and carefully place the prepared keg inside. Ensure the beer tube is properly connected to the keg and the dispensing mechanism.
- Close Cover: Securely close the top cover.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions
- Initial Cooling: After plugging in, the unit will begin cooling the keg. This process may take several hours depending on the initial temperature of the keg. The LED display will show the current temperature.
- Temperature Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the LED control panel to set your desired temperature between 3°C and 12°C. The display will show the set temperature and the actual temperature.
- LED Display Functions: The LED panel displays the current temperature, estimated remaining volume, and days of preservation for the beer.

- Dispensing Beer:
- Place a glass under the tap.
- Pull the tap handle forward to dispense beer.
- Push the tap handle back to stop the flow.
- Tip: For optimal pour and minimal foam, tilt the glass at a 45-degree angle initially, then straighten it as it fills.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene of your beer dispenser.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Drip Tray: The drip tray is removable for easy cleaning. Empty and wash it with warm, soapy water after each use or as needed. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Tap Handle: The tap handle is removable. Clean it with warm, soapy water. Ensure no beer residue remains. Rinse and dry completely before reattaching.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Internal Components: For thorough cleaning of internal beer lines and adapters, follow the specific cleaning instructions provided by your keg manufacturer or use a dedicated beer line cleaning solution.
