4.3 Unit Settings
The default display unit is yards. To change the unit to meters, navigate to "Setting > Unit" on the device and select your preferred option.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the charging connectors with brushes and a soft cloth to remove sweat and dirt, which can affect charging performance.
- Storage: Although the device is IPX7 waterproof, for best performance and longevity, store it in a cool, dry place. Clean the watch after exposure to sweat and dirt.
- Charging: Always charge the device with a 5V USB power source. Higher voltages may damage the internal battery.
6. Troubleshooting
- "---" Display for Distance: If the distance measurement displays "---" instead of figures, connect the device to power and recharge it. A low battery level initiates a power reserve mode, which reduces GPS range and can prevent position location.
- "Incorrect Hole" Message: Golf course layouts can change over time. If the device displays "Incorrect Hole," a course update is required. Visit the CANMORE website for the latest updates.
- GPS Signal Issues: Ensure the GPS receiver is not covered and the device is in an open area for optimal signal acquisition.
- Device Freezing/Unresponsive: If the device becomes unresponsive, attempt a soft reset by holding the power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds). If issues persist, contact CANMORE support.
