5. Setup Guide
5.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Remove the printer from its packaging.
- Remove all protective tapes and packing materials from the printer.
- Place the printer on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

5.2 Installing Toner Cartridge and Drum Unit
- Open the front cover of the printer.
- Unpack the drum unit and toner cartridge.
- Insert the toner cartridge into the drum unit until it clicks into place.
- Insert the combined drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer.
- Close the front cover.
5.3 Connecting Power and Data Cables
- Connect the power cord to the printer and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
- For USB connection, connect the USB cable from the printer to your computer.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Loading Paper

- Load paper into the tray, ensuring it is not overfilled. The standard tray capacity is 250 sheets.
- Close the paper tray.
6.2 Printing Documents
- From your computer, open the document you wish to print.
- Select 'Print' from the application's menu.
- Choose the PANTUM BM5100ADW printer.
- Adjust print settings such as paper size (A4, 8.5 x 11 inch, etc.), number of copies, and duplex printing options.
- Click 'Print'. The first page print time is approximately 6.9 seconds.
6.3 Copying Documents
- Place the document face down on the scanner glass or face up in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
- On the printer's control panel, select the 'Copy' function.

7.1 Replacing Toner Cartridge
Replace the toner cartridge when the printer indicates low toner or print quality degrades. The standard toner cartridge (TL-5120) yields approximately 3000 pages. High-yield options (TL-5120H, TL-5120X) are also available.
- Open the front cover.
- Remove the old toner cartridge and drum unit assembly.
- Separate the old toner cartridge from the drum unit.
- Unpack a new toner cartridge and insert it into the drum unit.
- Reinsert the assembly into the printer and close the front cover.
7.2 Replacing Drum Unit
The drum unit (DL-5120) has an estimated yield of 30,000 pages. Replace it when print quality issues persist even after replacing the toner cartridge, or when indicated by the printer.

- Separate the toner cartridge from the old drum unit.
- Unpack a new drum unit and insert the existing or a new toner cartridge into it.
- Reinsert the new drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer and close the front cover.
7.3 Cleaning the Printer
Regularly clean the exterior of the printer with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Printer Not Responding
